Munitions Forge Question
Blueflame wants to know how you get past the train part in this level. Every 2 times you go around, the train bumps and kills you. I know some people have already finished this game, so please help.

Re: Munitions Forge Question
Ž · Have you destroyed the lower half of the train? If that's so, then you may have problems with part 2, where the train chases you. Try using either Circle or X, I know that one of them speeds you up and one slows you down. But if you have problems with the first part, all you gotta do is ram the train using the speedup button while shooting bombs at it, and be sure to go in the direction that the rail is going. I'm not sure if the direction really matters, because I never saw any obstacles hit me because of the messiness, but that's what I did.

Re: Munitions Forge Question
I've finished the game the 3rd time, so I have more info on the train part of Munitions Forge.
You may want to look closely at the rails, but there's NOTHING MUCH to be seen from there. So why are you taking much damage? It's all because those gorillas are throwing stuff at you while you chase it down. The main trick here is to swerve from left to right while throwing bombs at the train. When the rails curve, I suggest leaning to the direction of the curve, that's all I always do.
Oh, and I never mentioned that you should stay near it. WELL I'M MENTIONING IT NOW, ALWAYS RAM THE *bleep* TRAIN. Sure it gets the screen so messy, but the messiness also avoids damage, most of the time. First, because of the continuous ramming, the gorillas will somewhat get blinded and they won't be able to damage you much, and because you ram it you always take track of it.
Another thing I've seen here. See the crystals that are at the back of the train? If you recall your memory, crystals give a lot of gems when broken. So what can we relate? Well, seeing as you can fire bombs at the train, ONLY HIT THE TRAIN AT IT'S BACK TO MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR MAGIC BACK. The white sparkling things that go to you is actually the crystal's energy.
When the view is now horizontal, always make it a point to lean to Spyro's left (up on the left analog stick), and adjust your cart to a point where you can hit the back of the train. That way, you'll be getting free hits on the train and you'll disintegrate it's life in short time.
Now, what happens if the lower half is already disconnected? You may notice that the train stops for a while, and later, the camera will pan to the back of Spyro. From here, HOLD THE LEFT ANALOG STICK DOWN FOR A GOOD OF 15-30 SECONDS. The train will suddenly ram at you. You will always get hit once, but because of the 'safe' method that I told you this shouldn't be a problem. After the first ram, you should outrun the train and you'll finish the level unharmed. But remember that you may have wasted your mana source.

Re: Munitions Forge Question
I have a question regarding the area directly after the train race. There are the bats and magma worms and all that you fight, and now I'm stuck and don't know what to do. It seems that all there is, is a small door that carts rush through so fast that all they do is run me over and skwoosh me flat. I've tried jumping into the carts, I've tried running down the rails in between carts, and all I ever seem to be able to do is die repeatedly. Anyone have any tips how to get past this part?

Re: Munitions Forge Question
YOu obviously have a low techinque rating of jumping. You gotta play along the left analog stick to get past this... see the path where the carts come from? You GO THERE. Carts bump you? NO, YOU AVOID IT. Single jump to the right/left, and then double jump back to the rails to avoid the carts. You must get to the part where the carts come from. Once you get to the small tube where the rail lies within, the carts stop producing, and you could proceed safely.

Re: Munitions Forge Question
Thank you for trying to help me, Zekira, but I found it hard to understand your posts. Your wording is a bit strange sometimes. I really appreciate it, though.
I should have given DDR a better idea of what to ask. My question is: what do you do on the second lap after the caboose explodes? I have tried slowing down, but the train just stops so I'll get ahead of it.

Re: Munitions Forge Question
The part after the crazy rail chase (which I thought was fun if not hard enough) can be a bit annoying. You have to walk on the rail way yet avoid the cars coming your direction. You have to time your jumps near pefectly. Sometimes Spyro can't jump high enough so that the car will just roll under him. He'll get knocked off the tracks. What you should do is charge along the rail in short bursts and leap to the first floating platform you see. You charge so that you reach the platform just in time before the rolling car reaches you. Make sure you have your magic switched to electricity. That way if there is a monkey man on the platform you can use your electric breath to throw him off.
If you use your electric breath to just throw the enemy off the platform, they'll die when they hit the ground so you don't have to fight them.
AS SOON as a car passes you on the rail, jump back to the rail and charge to the next platform in short bursts (you can't really charge continually because Spyro is hard to control when charging) Jump for the platform and use your electric breath to throw the enemy off if he is there. Do this over and over again until you reach the mouth of a tunnel. For some odd reason no more cars will come out of it when you are at the entrance. And there you will meet Mole-Yair's brother.
Heh. this level that two stupid puns in it. Boyzitbig Boy it's big and Maneewsmalls(sp?) Man you're small. It's like Mt. Wanahakalugi from Finding Nemo.
Oh and in the rail chase sequence, even if you slow down, the train will always get behind you. You can't avoid that. The game is programmed for that to happen. When it comes behind you just speed up so that it can't hit you.

Re: Munitions Forge Question
After the back of the train explodes? Simple, just hold the left analog stick down after it explodes and wait for yourself to get out of there -_- I practically forgot that you were being chased by that in my previous 4 finishes...

Re: Munitions Forge Question
What I did was wait until three trains passed you and there was a long gap until the next three come. So go immediatly after the third train.
Make the world a better place.

Re: Munitions Forge Question
ive completed the game 13 times now and the train part was always easy to me (then again i have the xbox version) but the point is you have to destroy the caboose first. on the second part just before the steam slows right down begin to speed up because your about to be chased by it and just carry on fleeing from it until you here the conductor say "end of the line"
