Okay, so maybe cross-species shipping is strange. Personally, I'm not usually a shipper. I could care less who the characters end up with. However, Spyro is the central and most important character to this series we all love (duh, like I needed to tell you that) so he's the one shipping I care about. There's really only three plausible Spyro shippings out there: SpyroxElora, SpyroxEmber and SpyroxCynder. I think Ember is annoying and I think Spyro ending up with Cynder would be too cliche. That's why I support EloraxSpyro. Unconventional but all too cute.

Other series have had similarly unconventional match-ups. Think of Shrek. The dragon and donkey married and had baby dronkeys.

Dronkey

So a dragon and another species isn't so weird. I mean, dragon and donkey from Shrek...isn't that like dragon and faun in Spyro. Fauns are half goat, half human, and a goat is somewhat like a donkey.

Little baby faungons running around or is that drauns? Hmmm...

Well, who else is in support of EloraxSpyro besides me?

I am a die-hard EloraxSpyro 'shipper and I have been since the final cut scene of "Ripto's Rage". big_smile

Given the nature of the original Spyro series, it never really struck me as odd that Spyro and Elora were a couple. Everything else in the series is so weird, that was kind of normal in comparison. big_smile

I don't generally 'ship myself (though I bet a lot of Spyro fans don't believe that big_smile ), but EloraxSpyro is pretty much my favorite 'ship of all time. It's cute for a start, also a bit odd (yay, dragon/faun! ), the characters balance each other out, and, really, Elora is the only girl I can image who could put up with the old Spyro like that.

It may be canon, which I don't usually support, but they're just so cute together! I love how tsundere Elora was to him at the beginning, then KISSED HIM ♥ at the end of the game. I wish she was in more than two games.

I love that she remained the same butt-kicking leader she'd always been even after that kiss. That's part of what makes me like Elora so much. She doesn't change who she is just because she's interested in a guy. Honestly, I think she'd wear the pants in this relationship, if you catch my drift, but I don't think Spyro would mind. He does everything for everyone all the time, so it's probably nice to have someone else do all the hard work for a change. big_smile

I think Spyro likes her, he's just too clueless to realize it yet. big_smile He seemed pretty flattered, if rather surprised, by that kiss. And he did go through the Tunnel of Love with her, even if he was being too ADD to pay attention to her. And the end of YotD implies that she was willing to give him another chance.

Haha, I agree Riku15. Ember/Spyro is just not meant to be, and Cynder/Spyro was kind of... well, obvious, even before DotD. I think they should have been siblings.

Ahh, I would LOVE a playable Elora... I can just imagine what attacks she would have.

I support Spyro/Elora too! I blame Razz for her awesome artwork on dA, and her lil' Pyrus. I'm re-playing Spyro 2 again.

RR/GtG was my first Spyro game ever, I got it in Christmas 1999. I was only seven, so I really didn't understand shipping. But now years have passed and I do. I strongly support Spyro/Elora of the orginals! *waves shipping flag*

Goodness, all this talking about Elora becoming a 'leader' with Spyro getting into trouble reminds me so much of my top-favorite pairing. Nigel/Rachel. <3 big_smile
