The Official Alchemist Fan Club

Razz developed a fascination for Gaul through the paucity of quality art for him. I have a similar fascination for the Alchemist from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. There's no art on dA and no information on him. To me he is as unique as Moneybags or the Professor. I could imagine he and the Professor hating each other. One believes in practical science, the other in mystical science. The fact that the Alchemist was a one-and-done character saddens me, he could have been used again in another Spyro game but wasn't. If there was a Spyro RPG he could make potions and such for new powers/healing abilites.

All in all, I wish the Alchemist had gotten used more and I'm a huge fan. I love playing Fracture Hills just to see him and there needs to be more in his honor.

Re: The Official Alchemist Fan Club

Say, now that you brought him up, I just realized that I'm a fan of the Alchemist too(somewhat) big_smile. I liked him... to me, he isn't anywhere near as good as Ignitus or any of the other characters I like, but I still like him. They definitely could've done something with him. God no... no, not a fic idea for the alchemist.. no, get out of my head XD!!!!!! Gwah, I'm starting to get ideas for a fic about him XD. Dangit XD.

Re: The Official Alchemist Fan Club

yeah he is. that was frustrating when i was younger.

the alchemist was cool. he's one of those small characters who nobody appreciates. you never see him in a poll of favorite characters. he might not be big, but he gives an interesting insight into how the worlds of spyro work on a day-to-day basis.

kind of like the monks of collosus. those guys were awesome.

Re: The Official Alchemist Fan Club

Sorry to double post, but I just want to bring the Alchemist back into forum consciousness. This character was so cool. He's part of why Fracture Hills is one of my favorite levels, the diversity of characters.

I'm going to contract an artist to make a banner.

Re: The Official Alchemist Fan Club

As far as characters from the old games go, The Alchemist is pretty interesting. I agree that much more could have been done with him. The connection to the Professor already mentioned is interesting, because of the Modern Science vs. Alchemy argument between the two of them, but it's brought up another question: What was his connection to the other characters of Ripto's Rage? What was Hunter doing in Fracture Hills in the first place, and why did he agree to let the Alchemist turn his boots into gold? (For that matter, why would he want to turn Hunter's boots into gold?) If fanon theory is correct, and Elora really is from Fracture Hills, then is he related to her in any way? If not, then is he related to any of the other fauns or satyrs in Autumn Plains?

Aw, man-now I want fanfic. O.o Actually, no, scratch that- I want to write fanfic.
