RPG Hints and Tips
Ok, I'm making this just to try and clear some stuff up. Please sticky if this is something good for this section, and help me add more tips.
Hints:
High Speed Games (a post like every 3-7 minutes):
Do:
Read back 2-3 pages to get a good idea of what's going on (recommended)
Read the last few posts
Place OOC: for out of character chat (or basically out of the game chat)
STAY PATIENT, this is the BIGGEST thing that you can have in any high speed game. No patience can mean missing out of a very good game/RPG.Don't:
Jump into the RPG out of no where like for instance,Lancer232: *continues firing at the enemies pouring through the door*
Random Guy: "Hey! How you doing!"Make it a worthwhile entrance, slow and steady.
Spam OOC posts
Godmod (kill every single character in one small blow)
Character Hack: NEVER do this unless it's a small thing or if you have permission from the owner.
Tips:
Try to type as fast as you can to avoid a clash with someone else.
Use script style if allowed, for example like my example on the random entrances.
Place enough detail so you don't create confusion.
Create a well-balanced character if that is a rule in the RPG.
Add creative twists if you are allowed.
Use a chapter system to keep the RPG on track if it is ment to have a path, you cannot make another chapter while one is running and the owner of the chapter must say "End Chapter" when the chapter is over and others can start their own after some conversation with the other members like if they have a chapter planned or if you can go again, and the chapter's end does not mean the RPG is on hold, you can still RP but nothing major.
