Gnasty Gnorc

What did everyone think of Gnasty Gnorc returning? I did NOT like it. Like Ripto, he's dead! They shouldn't bring back the original villains who died! It makes you feel like you defeated them for nothing! Also Gnasty Gnorc become Red's henchman and a childish buffoon. Next they'll bring the Sorceress back!

It wasn't a good idea, but that time is over. They were switching developers at the time. Now they have one developer so we don't have to worry about that happening anymore.

That's great. Both Ripto and Gnasty Gnorc were ruined. I'm glad they didnt have a chance to wreck the Sorceress.

I really hated Gnasty Gnorc, and why bring him back. One apperance is enough.

Anyway, I liked the return of Gnasty Gnorc, although I expected him to be defeated later in the game. He was an interesting (although under-developed) villain character and more original and interesting than Ripto ever was. Seeing him return in this game, I saw it as a tribute to the older games (as well as a good story justification as to why your main foes through the game are Gnorcs).

For those who say "no way! He was dead dead DEAD!"... well, I would like to remind you that Ripto had the same case and returned countless times. Let us make the count...

Ripto's appearances:
-Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage (PSX)
-Spyro 2: Season of Flame (GBA)
-Spyro 3: Attack of the Rhynocs (GBA)
-Spyro 4: Orange (GBA)
-Spyro 4: Enter The Dragonfly (Gamecube)

Gnasty Gnorc had only one return... and was actually pulled off a lot better than Ripto ever was. So, I guess that's a point for him.

Wonder why people systematically bash the newer games on every aspect... oh well.

I guess I'm weird. Ignore me.

I havn't played the first game since I was around 5, but I got it again, but havn't played it yet.
But he shouldn't have returned. It's stupid in AHT when you battle the bosses. They go "You beat me once... Twice... a third time!?!?" That's just stupid. You can't defeat someone 3 times in one battle! And bosses are easy to come up w/. They just bring back the old villians because it's not Insomniac anymore. I bet if Imsomniac still made Spyro games, there would be a lot more villians.

Ripto is my fav. character but I have to agree... He came back 2 many times.

He does! I just got to be able to play the game and I was like "Dang! That's gnasty gnorc?" He looks better in AHT.

he looks retarded in AHT, hes got like a monobraile and he sounds dumb. Hes obviously alive seeing the epilogue in YOTD but.... i recon that he shouldn't of changed and if returned, should of been with ripto.

It might be because, while I played 2 and 3 as a kid, I didn't play the original until last year. So, when fighting him back in 2004, I thought "Hey, he looks cool". He was funny, as well. Then I played the original, and I found THAT look weird. His portrait in Gnasty's Loot was cool, though.

I think Gnasty is to Spyro as what a certain lizard is to a certain genre of a certain franchise. And that's the epitome of quirky.

I dont mind how Gnasty Gnorc looked in AHT but i prefered his origanal look.I dont think that they should have made Gnasty Gnorc come back though. It would have been better to just bring a completly new villan in.
