Spyro has made a cameo appearance in Crash Twinsanity and was part of a crossover in Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage and appeared as a playable driver in the handheld game Crash Nitro Kart.

Spyro 2 - Unlike other Spyro titles, the game does not begin in the hub of the first world, but instead begins in one of the world's levels, Glimmer. The European version of the game is subtitled Gateway to Glimmer for this reason.
