Loading Screens

Alright guys, this is by far the worst Spyro game ever, sure the graphics were better than any other Spyro game, but it was just slow, the Loading Screens took 5 hours, only joking, like 1 minute or so.

For once, I can agree with someone!

Although the game only had little loading, it still remained the worst Spyro game (except maybe Shadow Legacy).

It was killed very dead because that it is:
-Bug-ridden (AAAARG!)
-loading screens? Older games and newer games alike mask them... but not this one. WTF?
-Shorter than older games and nothing to make up for it.
-Easier than the others... other than the bugs (again... AAAAARG!)
-Boring Ripto take-over number 1540022th story. Coooool. (sensing the sarcasm here?)
-Dunno if it's because of Ripto's incredible dullness... but the game's humor is very sub-par.

Only good point is that if you have a LOT of time to lose and get 100%, rather than face regular Ripto, said villain will do his own personal impersonation of the Hulk. Past the few seconds of hilarity, you'll realize you lost hours on an awfully programmed piece of crap and become depressed, sadly.

Not so worth it, after all...

All in all, get Spyro 1 to 3 if you fancy collect-a-thons or get A Hero's Tail and A New Beginning if you want actual SUCCESSFUL attempts at next-gen Spyro games.

Stay away from this game. You'll thank me later.

but bad things is I must wait around 2-5 minutes in loading screen.

i will trade spyro the dragon, Spyro 2:riptos rage,and year of the dragonfly for enter the dragonfly and a heros tale

i finished all 3 games and want to get more but have no cash to get ETD and HT with so i will trade if anyone is interested.

and gems to boot
i dont care about the bugs spyro is a great game

the loading screens annoyed me big time they always took too long (but then again it could of been my ps2) the game sucked. whats the point in bubble breath seriously it was gay and pathetic. and also why is ripto back he was destroyed in the gateway to glimmer and he fell into lava hello am i the only one thats noticed bringing ripto back was a bad idea he was useless anyway

Ripto was awesome in Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer, but it's a bad idea to set a recurring villain either way, especially since the franchise didn't warrant that approach before.
Concerning bubble breath, I actually saw it as some kind of aquatic breath form, which in the Spyro series in general were all pretty weak in offensive power (water power in A Hero's Tail was mainly used for puzzle solving and the ice powers just freeze your enemies on the spot before you can actually get around to attacking them).

Still, while the loading screens do look kinda pretty, loading times are a real burden if you ask me. I see a lot of similarities with the Wrath of Cortex now that I think of it >.>

Again, let me clarify that he only served as a great enemy in Ripto's Rage. Hence, why I thought the bosses in that title were a greater jump than the original.

You really shouldn't even consider this game an extension of the Spyro series. It's more something just like....a bonus game.

there are a few more problems with the game there where a few glitches but not THAT many the story admitingly crap and I dont know why but spyro seemed slower

overall the game had no really decent story
it had ripto in it mad
the bubble breath was gay
and catching dragonflies mad mad mad

this game was by far the worst

it was because like spyromaster said, the game was rushed to be released in winter 2002 and was only half finished. Another half a year would of made this game beter. I still think this game was beter than ANB and maybe even TEN

yeah. i mean if they had of just taken their time and fixed up all the glitches and loading screens and framerate and made the game longer and all that, they could have made a really good game. I like this game, but it was a dissapointment. It could have been alot funner.
