The last spyro game?

Is this the last spyro game ever? I know its the last in the legacy of spyro trilogy but will there be another spyro series? I hope there is since it would be pointless to just suddenly stop a game franchise when its still so loved. Some game series are made to be continued forever, like crash bandicoot or tomb raider.

I hope it's not the last one. It would be weird if they stop making them when Spyro games are getting better.

I don't remember where I heard it, but I've heard that the Spyro series will continue after this series is over. It might not happen right away, but there will be another series.

I think spyro will continue after this, just not LOS Spyro.

Honestly, most series that drag out for too long become stale. This fandom has already lost some supporters because it's been going on too long/become a cash cow/has fallen into the "wrong" hands/*insert other reason here* Thankfully, there are some long-time series that are still producing very successful and entertaining games.

Chances are that the series will continue as long as people think they can still make money off of it.
Then again, if it's still popular, maybe it would be nice for it to go out with a bang--an amazing ending that will leave the audience satisfied. (Personally, I'd love for Spyro to go out with a bang. :] )

I actually have a huge fear of Spyro ending. So I don't care if the final ending is going to be great...I don't want it to end! D:

Everything has to come to an end eventually, whether we want it to or not.

I think the chances of Spyro coming to a permanent end in the near future are slim. Even if they make a "final" Spyro game, there will probably be revivals in the future. I think at most the series would become inactive; they wouldn't aim to release a new game every year or so, but every now and then there'd be a new one.

Personally, I think it'd be a bad idea to try to "go out with a bang"; if they announced they were making the very last Spyro game, it would have ridiculously high hopes pinned on it, and of course they could never please everyone. Plus it's a bit like a singer doing a farewell tour; if they ever made another one, they'd look kind of silly. "Okay, this is the last one. Really."

I do wonder what they're planning to do after DotD, though. It may be the end of their trilogy, but if it's successful then it'd make sense to follow up on it. And I guess we'll see if I feel differently after playing DotD, but I'm not ready to say goodbye to the world of LoS just yet.

I completley agree, everyone is acting so mature saying that they would like it to end with a big finale but no matter how good the ending is i wouldnt be able to enjoy it because it will be the end of the series that has stuck with my since i was 4 sad

I'm not saying that someone should announce or make a big deal about the ending. My point is that I'd rather this series end while it's still successful rather than drag out until it becomes a dead fish. In fact, I'd rather that, if there ever is a last game, that it exceeds expectations rather than raising them.

I can be so "mature" about this (if that's even true) because my interest in the Spyro games has gradually waned...I've become increasingly dissatisfied with the games ever since they hit the PS2.

sorry to break ur fun but sadly dawn of the dragon is the final game of all spyros games i think it sucks cuz we cant even play other games when they are better

I doubt it's the last game ever lordChronicler46. There's ought to be more. This series has grown so popular, (or so the producer says) and I don't think they would stop its produciton. Maybe they won't make it anymore, but some other company will.

hum go check on wikipedia on legend of spyro dawn of the dragon and they say it gonna be the last game they will make or i think it may be not but i think it will be the last one anyway its the last game of the trilogy so belive it or not it may be the last one

Well duh it's the last game of the Legend of Spyro triology, I meant by there is going to be more Spyro games later on in the future. Like spinoffs you know?
