Do you think a Solar Eclipse will come?

I saw a movie in class about Maya and it had some sort of device that calculates when the next Solar Eclipse is and it said 2012th Feb or Jun 12th noon. but they were 33 seconds off. Boom we all die and go to heaven, but I thought it was a bunch of boloni but i looked it up and saw the exact time and still 2012 th so.... End of The World. We had fine life.

Or maybe it will be on the year 3000! Who Knows but some experts thought it would be on 2012 or when 2070 comes and the world floods because of the ICe! or maybe the devil will come out out when its birthday.
6/6/60 and kill all of us.
Choose any of those suggestions and will see what will happen first!

Ž Â· But the end of the world CAN be calculated... it's when the sun evolves from a Yellow Dwarf into a Red Giant... and according to calculations, when it grows, it will destory both Mercury and Venus, and Earth will be almost touching the sun's surface, which is a sign of an end. But don't worry; I think it will happen in more than 10000 more years... not sure though, because there is no evidence as to how old the sun is, but according to the average size of a Red Giant star, it will almost burn up Earth when it grows.

(*bleep* Earth Science. Don't get me scared like that... T_T)

Science is good that's why we learn it and also Math but if the sun gets closer too Earth than the heat wave would melt the slowly on the Oceans including North Pole and Antartica causing the ocean waters to over flood the whole continet if possible so that would happen around 2050-2070 or we rather have the devil to kill us or Solar Eclipse there are lots of ways for the world to end. Like a Black hole sucking the earth in it but it would take Centuries before that happens.

Although no one does know the exact age of the celestial bodies, there have been different techniques of aging some of them, and most scientists say that there won't be any too much astrological catastrophe for the next... many centuries.

*looks at my avatar* yeah that's what i use too look. All right back on topic. But the Point is which one comes first I mean here are ways the world would end.

1. The Magnetic Field would break and particles from the sun hits the Earth.
2. The Ice would melt and flood the whole continet.
3. Black Hole sucking the Earth in
4. Obviously the Solar Eclipse
5: All volcanoes erupting if possible.
6: Devil Comes out and kill us.
7: And maybe Meteors hitting the Earth.

Choose any of those I should put this as the pole Question Instead except I don't know how.

Ž Â· NOTE: According to my sister (geek at science... 99 at grade), you may be using the wrong term, because we've had so many Solar Eclipses already... If you could explain what you mean by Solar Eclipse, we could know what the one you are looking for is, because I'm sure that the Eclipses are just a lineup of the 3 major celestial bodies, and it won't cause that much harm. So... what was your definition of Solar Eclipse?

The end of the world could be any time; no one really knows when. But I highly doubt a solar eclipse will be the end of the world....

Actually the mayan calendar ends on december 23rd, 2012
and there is supposed to be one of those doomsday comets supposed to be on a collision course with earth that is supposed to arrive here about that time.
