Have you noticed that on every(well almost every) Spyro game on ps2 spyro has a light soft voice except A Hero's Tail? Why do you think this is? Tell me what you think. :-| :-| :-| :-|

well there was only 3 voice actors on the ps2 anyway....
1.Tom Kenny-ETD
2.Jess Harnell-AHT

I'm with Corky. Because Spyro is a KID. He shouldn't have a really deep voice.

spyro is NOT a kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's an insult! spyro is a young dragon! and who's to say young dragons can't have deep voices? they are dragons after all!

What? Hey, calm down man. Saying Spyro's a kid is more or less saying he's a young dragon. You don't have to get psyched up about it. Him being a young dragon was what I meant by a kid. It is NOT in any sane way an insult.

Because Spyro is a young dragon, young "Male" dragon who prolly hasnt gone threw puberty to get his deep adult dragon voice yet...

But yeah, he is supposed to be a kid, i cant really immagine Spyro having the voice of Darth Vader!

Erk, still doesn't explain the part about the insult or whatever. I've always imagined dragons to have slightly different voices...whether it's deeper or lighter.

the thing is, since nobody knows what a dragons voice really sounds like, its common sense to attribute spyro with human features, such as a small light voice for someone young

its so people dont think spyro is a game about a midget/dwarf/vertically challenged adult dragon

Dragons' voices are typically deeper than human ones. Much like Ignitus's.

That depends...in most things dragons mature much faster than humans do, and with Spyro it looks like it's just a typical human aging process.
I do think that they might have slightly deeper voices though (take Spyro and Cynder for example, they're twelve and their voices sound deeper than you'd hear from a kid at that age).

Well you can't really tell because of dragon physiology, Cynder too has had a soft voice as well, but that's because she's been voiced by two (now three) females

ANB: Cree Summer - top job she did too

TEN: Mae Whitman - just perfect for a pre-teen dragon .. if there is ever such a thing.

And now Christina Ricci (Wednesday from "The Addams Family")

So really it's all down to the character and who voices it, and how they want that character to be portrayed now THAT'S the main key ...

Take my character .. Volteer who's voiced by Corey Burton, his voice isn't too deep nor is it too light ... it's right in the middle, and like I said it's what they see in the dragon themselves, and how they want to build that dragon's persona up ..

Know what I mean ?
