DVD Video Recorder - having a major problem here
Ž · Alright, I'll make this as short as possible.
For some games, making gameplay vids is already a tradition to share players' expertise. There are numerous ways that people are able to record their gameplay, and one of these methods is by using a DVD Recorder.
Right now, I just recorded several clips already of my gameplay onto this DVD+RW I have right now. Yeah, continous recording is not a problem. I can actually watch these on a DVD Player, and the Disc Menu enables easy navigation of the different videos I made already. But then, after this is where my major problem comes.
I've put this DVD onto my comp already, and here are my problems:
1.) Much to my dismay, it seems that the programming of the DVD Recorder is different, because you will not see the video files by simply exploring the DVD files. It seems as if it was really programmed to be a DVD-Video already. So how do I exactly get the video clips out from the DVD???? I already know a decent method: use Nero. But is there a better way, or an easier way to do this? or something...?
2.) There are certain programs on my comp already that enables me to play the DVD like the comp was a DVD Player, complete with the Disc Menu and stuff. But I have a major problem: no sound is coming out! I checked the player already and it wasn't on mute. But I did get the error message saying that there's a missing plugin or codec. Anyone know what this is? I think the PS2 uses Dolgy Digital Channel 2... and I don't know how to get that in my comp. (well that was also what was displayed in the error message)
3.) In short of all these, can someone just help me out in making a final outcome of a .wmv of the recorded gameplay???
Unclear, I know, but I can't explain it much...

Ž · Oh, alright, and that would probably enable me to split up my vid files into .wmv???

no, it decodes the vidoe files from the dvd, then you can use a VOB converter to convert it into wma, wmv, or divx.
