Operating Costs

Hey all,

I have had a few PMs regarding funding for spyroforum and spyroworld.

I need to make this clear: We will NOT go down due to lack of funding. It simply won't happen. I have plenty of money to keep this, and my other sites up. In fact, SpyroForum and SpyroWorld's hosting is already paid 2 years in advance, so I guarantee you guys another 2 years.

My reason for putting a few ads on spyroforum is because I want to break even with hosting costs, not because I cannot afford it. It would be great if spyroforum would pay for itself, but right now its just not happening.

Back when "Ye Gods!" had it's own site, I had a hard time raising the $100 I needed every year to pay for the hosting. So I came up with Adopt-A-God, in which people could donate whatever they could afford and I would do a pen sketch for them. The rules were something like: name your favorite character, give me a noun and an adjective or verb, and I'll do a pen sketch of the first thing that comes to mind. I took that system to the Midna Fan Forum and offered to do sketches of Midna as "thank you" gifts for donations there and had all the money I needed within a week. So I'd be happy to be the pen sketcher for Adopt-A-Forum, provided we could get everyone to understand that I will not be doing their fan characters in the "thank you" gifts. big_smile

I would defenately donate if I had the money for it wink I will be getting a job and would be willing to donate, however unnecessary it may be. XD
