Wanted: video clips of the first two Spyro title screen sequences
To put it in a nutshell, I want to go about making some kind of Spyro related music video once I've got the main bulk of my examinations over for this year. But before I can even get started, I'll need resources.
My plans on this are to plan around this kind of theme - wondering what kind of sequence could occur if Spyro was a featured series at Video Games Live. I went to that event at London last year, and believe me, it was absolutely amazing O.O
What I plan to do is write my own orchestral medley of Stewart Copeland composed tracks (suggestions on what to use will be very much appreciated) alongside a video sequence of clips of the console titles. The key ones I need to link them all together are title sequences. I've gathered some later title videos easily, but I am having problems finding any for the first title and Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer. I don't have my own DVD encoder, so that's recording them myself out of the question.
Those that find/generate their videos and pass them to me will be rewarded 1200 gems per video.
Thank you very much in advance ^_^

Okay, to make a Spyro music video, you need an emulator, to play it on the computer. From that, you should record whatever footage you want. Or you can always record it with a video camera on the TV...but the quality is less on that. Once you have to footage, you edit it how you want.

I have a PS1 emulator (ePSXe); haven't heard of catching videos from the program itself. How do you do that anyway?

Some programs can record your desktop or what you're viewing. Don't know what that may be, short of FRAPS, but that's mostly for programs.

Re: Wanted: video clips of the first two Spyro title screen sequences
I see now O.O
Not long after my previous response, I searched on Google for how other people did it. Some of them used the graphics plugin settings; I tested that out with Ripto's Rage, though the process came out slow and had some degraded colors in the process (must be my compression settings).
And just now I went through some of those desktop recorders that I could find. Test recordings have proved successful, and I hope that they can be utilised to generate further video footage without any processing speed hassles.
In other words, I'm on a roll. Thank you
So, though I actually was pointed in a way to craft my own videoclips, do I still pay the gems to you for helping me out?

Re: Wanted: video clips of the first two Spyro title screen sequences
I don't know where else to post this but I managed to get the mp3 done of the music that would accompany the video. I would really like some honest thoughts on it please.
http://bev.wooff.googlepages.com/spyromedley.mp3
Here's how I would assume it'll be structured -
* Intro -- Spyro 1 main theme - assorted footage of Spyro 1 (still need to get some recordings of myself playing the game)
* Gateway to Glimmer Forest (Spyro 2) - assorted footage of Spyro 2 (got a few recordings, may need to approach the cutscenes again tho)
* Misty Bog/End Credits (Spyro 1) - Spyro 3 footage (I'm okay in that department, lol)
* Fireworks Factory (Spyro 3) - Enter the Dragonfly segment (had to be inevitable since that track was used in its trailer)
* Sunny Villa (Spyro 3) - A Hero's Tail (again, gathering all sorts of stuff for that one)
* Ripto's Arena (Spyro 2) - A New Beginning (that transition change was completely intentional)
* Enter the Dragonfly ending (picked this because it was techincally seen as a re-arrangement of the first game's opening theme) - mixed footage of happier scenes to conclude the video
I just hope that this works well enough for now. If you have any questions, please ask me.
