Ten generations is 300 years, and Malefor is over a thousand. Spyro could not have been born 120 years after him, because he's not the second purple dragon to exist.
And it's been confirmed since April that it's been three years, not ten, since they were trapped in stasis.
And that other dragon creature looked more like a mask to me *shrugs*.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions...I just don't want to hear them. (kidding).

Every 12 years a little purple dragon will arrive in its egg so
Spyro is the 2nd purple dragon & the DarkMaster was the 1st Purple Dragon.
So there were more little Dragons than Spyro and Cynder one of the DarkMaster
evil apes took Cynder's egg & she became evil and been useded by the DarkMaster
Cynder is good now In DotD.

The Dawn of the Dragon picks up the story 10 years later
So that means that it was 10 years after they got trapped. Now unless Spyro and Cynder were 1 year old, I have a feeling more eggs/dragons have come.
Actually it was THREE years since they were trapped in crystal. Chirs Wilson confirmed that since April. The writer of that article is wrong about that and a few other thing.
