Re: Worth Getting?
Definitely. I had a lot of fun playing it, and I think the game is rather unique(in games you're always a human, that be no fun). Plus the gorgeous cut scenes, scenery and music definitely make it worth it.

Re: Worth Getting?
and now for a slightly less biassed view (from someone who hasnt even played it lol)
the major questions you need to ask yourself are:
have you played the previous 2 games?
did you enjoy them?
if you answered no to the first question, then id suggest you do so before playing the final game in a trilogy (much the same as most people wouldnt read the last book or watch the last movie in a series)
if you answered no to the second, then its hard to say, from what i hear, there are some extra features in the newer one that may appeal to you (free flight for example)
i personally would get it if i had played the previous games, if only to find out how it ends (im a compulsive collector)

Re: Worth Getting?
Def worth getting if your a Spyro fan. Where you go from there depends on how you view video games.
Personally I loved it...no matter what the reviewers say....since were all pretty sure what they are gonna say anyways.

Flight isn't even that great, the controls are awkward and you're very limited with it. I wanted to bite my TV screen because I couldn't go higher even to places that I've been before. Definetly would have been better if you could go a lot higher, otherwise I see no point to it. Even in the old PS1 games you couldn't fly regularly and I found it a lot more pleasing to glide from high places.
I don't know if you liked the first two or not but this one is better than them. I still don't recommend buying it even if you like what little there is of it because it's so short. Try rental first.

Re: Worth Getting?
I agree with you on the concept of flight. I was excited when they told us about the whole freeflight experience...but then you get that stupid platform right in front of you that you stretch those nice wings of yours to reach.....your just about to get it.....then awwwww man you go straight down like a rock. Nothing like an invisible forcefield to make your gaming experience.
I enjoyed the game except for all this minor issues..but if you say that a game is going to have free flight don't you think you should really apply yourself to the concept of "free" as in all over anywhere you want. Things like this are just critical when it comes down to the small details...but yea if you are a diehard fan (like me) you wont really care as long as you can enjoy the overall quality of the game....but I already know the reviewers are gonna have field day tearing it apart due to it's bad camera angles and mishaps when it comes to things like flight and the fighting mechanics..(against elites)
Buy the game if you are a diehard fan...and look forward to a great experience..but if your not then rent it first as before said just to try it before ya buy it. All I can say is that as a fan I found it more enjoyable then both ANB and TEN.

Re: Worth Getting?
Well, critics are there to review games thoroughly from mechanics and technicality, not be like "well I enjoyed this game so it gets a 10 rating!!!"

Re: Worth Getting?
It's a good game, there were things they could've done better (curse those adamantine orbs), but I'm satisfied with the final result. If TLOS has to end, I'd say this is good way to go out.

Re: Worth Getting?
I havn't played that much to give a good decision, but for what i've played it's not bad, still not a good as the originals but alot better than ANB or TEN.

Re: Worth Getting?
Well if your a fan of the originals I doubt this game will really do justice for you. If your a fan of the LOS series then it does...because it's def better then the previous two games.
The only thing that has annoyed me about all of them is the stupid camera angles...but other then that I can't really complain.

Re: Worth Getting?
Short is also that there's so little levels, not enough connected environments.
