Know what I think?
Currently, so far the Spyro games are really starting to make me think the games are only for those 12 years and below taht suits them.
I think the current creator of "Spyro: Eternal Night" and future games Should spice up a lot, to make it more interesting for the more seniors, like what happened on "Super Mario Galaxy" xD

Re: Know what I think?
I thought A New Beginning had an age range that seemed to reach higher than 12 to be honest, but I do see what you mean. Regardless of what happens, it won't dampen my experience in the series as it keeps on going - as long as the game is pretty fun, that's al that matters.

i play rpgs for the story, the gameplay and the excitement
oh and sometimes i think that most rpgs are made a bit over the top for some players
meaning that the game can be unsuitable for those younger than 12 even though the game has a like 3+ on it

Re: Know what I think?
Ž · I rate a game according to everything that it gives me. When I dedicate myself to the game, the storyline, the gameplay, the possible glitches, and the decoded order are all bothered.

Re: Know what I think?
Spyro 1......? No. That game should have been rated T.
1. Images of realistic weapons & violence (Twilight Harbor), where the gnorcs use machine guns & grenades, and where the bulls (Town square) have blood on thier horns.
2. Comic mischief. This was noted on the back of the case, but it sometimes got pretty crude, like then the gnorcs moon you.
3. The game had some frightening villains, like the yellow monsters (Alpine ridge), the hellhounds (Toasty), and the flower monsters (Jaques).
These seem a lil too grown up for lil kids.

You have an interesting point of view with that. Luckily I was 12 when it came out and took it well in its stride, so I might not have noticed much of a difference. Mind, I'm not so sure if those big yellow monsters in Alpine Ridge and those flower monsters in the Jacques boss stage are shown to be very frightening to younger gamers. The hellhounds I can possibly associate more, but I'm really sure Insomniac knew what they were doing.
