Last LoS game
You know this is the last legend of Spyro game right.
I'm gonna miss LoS series.

Re: Last LoS game
Again I don't know where the thing about this being the last game is coming from. Right now Sierra still owns the rights to Spyro...and even though the LoS trilogy is done...they have expressed the desire to continue with this story and the characters...depending on how well DotD did in sales and such. Since it seems to have done pretty well...I think they will continue with their plans.

Well, I wish they'd make their intentions clear, instead of leaving everyone wondering.

Re: Last LoS game
Well...I can't see them saying anything until this so called movie does come out....and then they might release some more information about what is going to happen in the next year or two....but I really want them to take their time with this....if it helps improve the overall quality anyways.

Re: Last LoS game
I'll miss it but fortunately more Spyro games are being made. Right now, I'm looking forward to the movie.

Re: Last LoS game
I'll really miss the legend of spyro. The story and characters were very impressive. I know 'Old' spyro is coming back so I'll have to deal with it. I can't wait for The Legend Of Spyro movie though.

Re: Last LoS game
Again I don't know what you people are refering to lol....so long as Sierra owns the character they want nothing to do with the old games....and they want to continue with the current characters and storyline albeit in a different series.

If anyone here didn't know,
in the DotD booklet,
it said "The Legend Concludes"
and that means END!

Re: Last LoS game
I will. By DotD TLoS has just gotten into it's more serious swing, they had managed a plot-hole-less way to get rid of all the childish character designs, big war, full flight, epic combat system, brilliant bosses and infuriating levels. It got a 10/10 on the epic scale but it was no longer Spyro. The Spyro games lost their essence when Insomniac sold them to Sierra, and now those people who were on the developement team for it are probably fired, or quit, or moved on, or couldn't care less about the small purple dragon they made great.

Re: Last LoS game
I think some are still working on spyro, also yeah it has sort of lost it's essence, but spyro is still spyro even though he is different, i will cope with the change unless something bads happens.

Re: Last LoS game
That is something that was out of our hands anyways. Insomniac made the decision they did because they felt it better for their company...and Spyro has become what it is today....and it appeals to a different kind of fans now...things change and that's part of life. I support the franchise as a whole mainly because my imagination and skills are open to just about anything that comes my way...so I will always see the best in something when it's given....so long as the series lives on so will my faith in it.

Re: Last LoS game
I voted for the bottom-most option. I was really basing the decision on the last game out of all of them. If Sierra hadn't pulled a last-second developer switch for the last game, I'd have been perfectly content. *sighs* ;~;

Re: Last LoS game
Well in that case it's gonna suck even more since they will most likely keep going with the games. Can only hope that the developers improve quite a bit....and even then it prolly wont matter.

Re: Last LoS game
Maybe Blizzard can step in and throw Spyro to one of their well known development studios. No offense to either Krome or ELB, but I'd bet 95% of the gaming world wouldn't have a clue as to who either of these studios were prior to the Legend trilogy. Now that it's done, I'd say there's still probably a good 70% of the gaming world that would STILL not know Krome or ELB. >_>

Re: Last LoS game
Most likely lol....but handing it off to a bigtime studio may not change a thing....then again maybe it would...who knows. Just so long as the games continue.

Well said RDX well said.
I wholehearthely agree with you on this subject - there is nothing we can do about this. If Sierra wants to change Spyro, they will do so without considering us old fans.
I really like the new design and storyline though and I'm also confident that they will continue with making the games from the base of this new epic tale and I can't say I mind one bit. I would though, like for them to take a little more time with their designs. The new games (allthough nice enough) seem a bit rushed to me, and they could definitely do with more time to polish off some of the rookie mistakes that'd been made during this trilogy.

Re: Last LoS game
And I agree with you greatly on that topic. The games are good no doubt.....but they are far...far...from perfect. The designs were indeed rushed...at least the character designs. The gameplay could have been improved....and the environments could have been much more open and involving. Thus we have flaws.....but everything is never going to be perfect.
The original games were not perfect...they were simply the first of a generation....and appealed to more fans despite any major drawbacks. The LoS series has been under the shadow of the originals now and forever will be...that's what happens when you have something to be compared to and something you have to fill the shoes off.
Either way...as I said before...I will always support the franchise.

Re: Last LoS game
I agree with you. The new trilogy is my favorite and compared to the others it actually had a plot. I'll support the games no matter what (Unless they make into a broadway musical... then i'll think about it.)

Well I certainly don't hope it goes that far lol....because then I would def lose a bit of the faith I have left.

...Or maybe it will just be what happened with SC:Ghost where the game undergoes studio switches in the company and eventually falls into obscurity....
Yeah, seeing as it's not an entirely proven franchaise, don't expect anything. Blizzard isn't a fan of taking risks, from what I've seen. Kind of sad as they could probably do a good job with it.

Re: Last LoS game
Don't know if Blizzard had been my first choice.. Besides, I think Estranges did a good jobb, and if they just get some more time to the next game I am sure it could be truly amazing! So if they stick with Estrange at least they will keep me happy. And if they do that they will eliminate the risk of sharing the fate of SC:Ghost.
