The Japanese boxart - Ripto
I don't know if you already know about this but if you look at the logo, you can see that it looks like it says 'Ripto'.
I guess that's where Ripto's came from.

Yes, that's where Ripto's name in the English versions came from.
All of my eggs have died.

Re: The Japanese boxart - Ripto
In the Japanese version of the game, Sparx is always green. He doesn't change colors when you get hit.

Re: The Japanese boxart - Ripto
Sparx is shining bright with Sparkles around. That means he´s in good condition.
Sparx is always green. That´s right. But you can see the health status like in any other Version of Spyro the Dragon.
Full Health : Sparx is shining yellow with sparkles around
Medium Health : Sparx have only sparkles around
Low Health : Sparx is only green

The american version came out first. It came out in Japan a whole year later.

Re: The Japanese boxart - Ripto
I did not notice that! That is really cool, but I swear I heard of something where Spyro was called Ripto in Japan a while ago. Just like what LightHolyDragon said.
