3D?
I heard somewhere that this movie is going to be in 3D (with the blue/red glasses), like Beowulf was.
I'm really excited about this and I hope it's accurate! Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for more information.

Re: 3D?
Hmm...I feel that is very unlikely, it costs alot of money to do something like this. I dunno, Spyro stuff is always unpredictable XD

Re: 3D?
Hmmmm.... 3d glasses don't seem to work with me. I've seen movies that are 3d but the problem was everytime I put the glasses on all I mostly see blue/red . But maybe that's my problem.
It might work well for this movie

Re: 3D?
Haha but I would have to admit it would look cool in 3D! I've seen a movie like this and it was A-MAZING! Spyro popping out the screen would be the best thing ever!

Re: 3D?
Stereoscopic Movies are projected using special stereoscopic projectors using 3D filters.
In other words, too costly to produce and ship.
I really hope not. 3D stuff makes my head hurt after thirty minutes.

Re: 3D?
I think it is going to be 3D because I went to that velvet octopuss sight and the heading said The Legend of Spyro 3D. Tell you the truth I dont want it to be 3D I just want it to be just like a normal movie.

Re: 3D?
I thought it would be, they wouldn't put '3D' next to the title (because it's fairly obvious it's not a 2D movie), and velvet octopus had it listed as both a CG and 'Real D' movie, meaning it's one of those things-popping-out-of-screen films.

Re: 3D?
I've never been fond of 3D movies. I prefer it when it's just...normal.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions...I just don't want to hear them. (kidding).

Re: 3D?
Even if it is 3D, I'm guessing they'll play it normally too. 3D would probably only be in select theaters. I think that's how it worked with the latest Harry Potter, but correct me if I'm wrong.
I haven't been to a 3D movie in a long time; I think I'd get used to it quickly, but I'd still prefer to see it without. If I can do both, I probably will.

Re: 3D?
To be entirely accurate, Beowulf isn’t a 3D picture, but a Motion Capture Animation (you know that one where they stick people in funny suits covered in ball-shaped sensors and make them act against a green or blue background?) So every single animated image you see in Beowulf was done based on pre-filmed scene involving the actual human actors. It was then ran through 3D programming and “animatedâ€: that's why it looks so real. This technique creates some strikingly realistic animation, but is no good for anaimtions where your characters aren't SUPPOSED to look real (like Toy Story, for example).
3D aniamtion is just animation created on 3D software and made to look... well... three dimensional.
For this reason, the Spyro movie now is unlikely to be using motion capture animation like Beowulf: none of the characters are realistic in nature, so they couldn’t be done via motion capture, unless the producers happen to be in contact with some real live dragons (I’d love their autographs if they were. Hee!)
That said, though; people can (and sometimes do) use motion capture sometimes in unrealistic films for certain scenes. Heck, if you’re gonna animate ANYTHING you need a source of reference: if you wanna animate a dog walking? Watch a real dog walking. if you wanna animate a dragon walking... well, that’s a little harder, but you can look at other animals and get a round idea of what would look right on a dragon.
Soo... yeah.
I will now shut up. XD

Re: 3D?
You make a excellent point! I don't really care what they do. BUT either way I'm gonna be waiting outside the movie theater at midnight with my cousin waiting to see this movie drinking starbucks so I can stay awake! Besides it's from the producers of Eragon and me and my friend gave it 5 stars! Spyro can get 90 hit combo on the critics and charge them, burn them, freeze them solid, electrocute them, and make an earthquake to make a bunch of giant rocks fall on thier head! I hate critics. I'm sure Spyro does to!

Re: 3D?
Those Red Blue Glasses suck...The 3D Effects with Gray galsses in Disney World ROCKED! The Effects of Red, BLue Glasses isnt as good as the Gray ones they used in the ones in Disney World. They should make it 3D fitted with those type of glasses.
