alright! spyrorocks said i should put out a anouncment and tell everyone it is spyro apriceation week! it lasts this friday to next friday! now SR really did like the idea! he told me to go for it! we will have the folowing:

1.spyro apriceation week banner contest
2.spyro apriceation week handrawn picture contest
3.spyro apriceation week spyro,sparx,and cynder handrawn contest
4.spyro apriceation week spyro,sparx,cynder screen shot contest
5.spyro apriceation week spyro,sparx,cynder image contest
and any other game you can think of! we shall have a apriceation week every year in may! now go apriceate spyro!
p.s. every contest winner gets 100 gems since this is only for spyro apriceation week and this is only for fun!

Isn't the fact that people really love your art good enough? I mean, you draw as a hobby, and it's a nice bonus that you receive the said feedback. What more do you need, monetary value? xD

Then again, I'm not an artist, so I can't really say much.

It'd be nice if people would stop stealing my art, trying to sell it, demanding free art, or telling me what I did wrong in certain pieces. And, given all the work I put into this, a few less single-word comments and a few more thoughtful responses would be nice. As a general rule, I feel pretty unappreciated by the fandom at large, but I keep drawing because I like the characters, I've made some obligations, and it's what people want.

Yes. Yes it is. For all the work I do, I'm not really compensated. It's just lucky for the fans that I enjoy it personally so much, otherwise I would have stopped doing all this art a long time ago.

To Razz: I'm one of those 'single sentence' people wink . I think you have a great talent for art, and I haven't asked for or stolen any of it. I think it's better to draw it yourself so you can use the experience to get better. I draw Spyro all the time, and only one of my pictures has been added to my art thread. And it's a really old picture. smile
Anyways, back to Spyro...

Being paid would be so awesome, but it's rather illegal to get paid for fan art, so this has to be entirely a labor of love (unless, by some miracle, Sierra wants another Spyro character design artist or someone to draw coloring books for them big_smile ). I really do love all the fans who come to see my Spyro work, I just get burned out by them sometimes, too.
