I don't think spyro has that much of a audience to actually be a good seller and be worth the couple of million it takes to produce it.

I don't think so. I'm really thinking this isn't going to happen. seroiusly. There are no reliable sites saying that there even will be a game. I've checked just about everywhere. Vivendi, ign, nintendo... etc.
I've only seen 2 places that said anything about the game and those are the ones AV showed us. And they don't look legit. It was a nice thought but it's not going to happen. And if it is I'll eat a car. >_> Tires and all. and I'll even buy an expensive camera to tape myself eating it and then show you all that I did it.

Have some faith, guys. The most important thing is not to give up. I admit things look pretty bleak at the moment but as the old saying goes, "It is always darkest before the dawn." Don't forget what I am working on. Spyro the Dragon isn't dead until we give up. And I for one will fight to keep this franchise going... one way or another.

So what if Universal don't give a *bleep* about Spyro. We do and that is what truly matters here... US THE FANS! If not for us Spyro wouldn't be around still. Remember next year is Spyro's 10th birthday. Ten years of adventures is nothing to sneeze at and with luck with the Spyro: Legacy of Ages film and various other projects in the works Spyro will be around to celebrate his 20th birthday. Anything is possible as long as we continue to have faith and believe.

Huh? All he was gesturing was his pessimism over whether there'd be a new game or not.
And jamieque had it right there - it's the fans that keep a series strong, not what comes out of it. I mean, just last year we faced ten years worth of Crash Bandicoot; the last game I ever got was Twinsanity two years ago, yet in spite of my pessimism over the latest titles I still appreciate the series' main strengths through a fair selection of titles that I came to appreciate.
And of course, I will do the same thing for Spyro, regardless of quality of whatever titles that would come in the nearby future. Odds are we might get a handheld title if anything, but I can't even be too sure on what's going to happen.

Again, I say we wait til E3 and see what happens. Other than that, we should all be around discussing the series and its progression as well as getting whatever urge possible to replay some of these titles.

I think this is just a rumor.. personally. We knew far in advance that ANB was coming out, what the title was, etc. This seems.. too sudden. It's barely a year after ANB came out , not nearly long enouiugh to produce a good game imo...
