Re: Gold Spyro?
Gold statue? It looks similar to the 1up model gained from those purple shell thingies. (Except it's silver. This one is gold.) I'm not convinced that this is in the final version of the game. It's possible that some used the 1up model, resized it, changed it's color, and replace the default model used for the frozen dragon. Yeah, it tech talk. (That's alot of modification time to go through. Why would someone go through all this trouble? Than again, it might be just the beta/prototype we're look at here.)
I don't care how it looks but how it functions

Re: Gold Spyro?
My mom might get an adapter so I can play it again!
If she does, first thing I'll look at is the gold Spyro.
Last time I used an adapter everything was black and white... :'(
Any tips on how to get it colourful again?

Re: Gold Spyro?
Yes of course, you need a RGB Scart Cable for your Play Station to play ntsc Games!
With the standart Scart have you only a Black and White Screen!
The RGB Cable is also god for Pal Versions, they looks more colourful as with the standart Scart Cable and you can also use this for the PS 2 and the PS 3!

Re: Gold Spyro?
One last question.
Can I use a European RGB Scart Cable or do American and European RGB Cables work the same?
Hopefully I can get this stuff in the summer holidays, after the exams!

Re: Gold Spyro?
For a while I thought it was a texture hack. Then I realized in order to do that, you need an emulator, a program that hacks textures for that game, AND a screen capturerer. And if it was on the regular PSX, I have no idea.
But after looking through everything, I did see it was on the demo version.

Re: Gold Spyro?
Cynder7, if you use NTSC playstation you can only play NTSC/UC games, not PAL. Sorry if you knew that, and if not, sorry to burst your bubble.
Oh god, looking at my old posts on here are absolutely cringeworthy. Hard to believe I made any friends, lol.

I know that.
I only need two things, but the one costs 80 euros so I might not get it.
There's a small chance I might though...

Re: Gold Spyro?
There are 2 Possibilitys to play all regional codes on your PS 2!
The first thing is a Tool called "Magic Slide Card", you can get it for a good price but it is not really good for your Console!
The better Thing is to let build in a Chip in your Console that set up your Drive Code free. I use a Matrix Infinity Chip with the latest Software and my PS 2 run´s very well with it!
I know this thing costs about 70 or 80 Euros, but if you like to play a lot of Import Games is it a good choice.

Re: Gold Spyro?
You could also download an emulator to your computer and run the disc from there. I use ePSXe when I'm trying to get screenshots for the Spyro Wiki using it

Isn't Matrix Infinity a Mod-Chip? Because I think I have one!

Well, I've been playing him on the PC for a few years now, and no problem from me
If you search ePSXe on Google, you'll get the most efficient emulator for PS1 games. Download it, and the readme file can help you with the rest. I should warn you that Spyro: Year of the Dragon is very hard to play though, because of the copy protection on the game.

Hey, I use PS1 emulators a lot, but something I never got around to trying was putting in my copy of a PS1 game into the computer and seeing if I could play it with the emulator. Do you know if this will work?
