It's been confimed. That was an oversight in the GBA version that they couldn't be stuffed fixing.

The GBA timeline is a mistake and is not separate from the console version. She's not his sister except in some twisted alternate universe.

Well the GBA version clearly states that they are siblings, it is part of the story. the GBA timeline IS seperate from the console timeline.

Given that the GBA games were produced along with the console versions and meant to be as similar to them as possible and that the creators of the series had to correct a huge error in the GBA games...they are not a separate canon.

When that mistake came out, I almost dropped the entire LoS franchise before Chris Wilson made his announcement. big_smile See, THAT is why it's disgusting and wrong to keep insisting that they're related, because, fight it all you want, the games themselves heavily imply a budding romance between Spyro and Cynder and if they're related, things will turn out very wrong.

Wow? It really IS an example of how the Story in TLOS effects the fan....
But anyway, Chris wilson said that they arn't siblings and I'm sure that they will turn out to be lovers, typical!

i think they are bro and sis, and the producers comment was a cover up because it reveals the true ending to DotD

seriously itll beexactly like star wars, luke (spyro) meets hot princess leia (cynder) and thinks she's hot, then just before he leaves yoda (ignitus) he is told that leia (cynder) is his sister, luke (spyro) then tosses up the pros and cons of incest, and eventually decides to tell leia (cynder) the truth

I don't think so. Not only has it been done already and done in such a way that makes everyone want to avoid that particular plot point, but it has been announced by all sides that that line in GBA was a mistake. If Spyro and Cynder were siblings, we'd see more sibling-like interaction between them instead of the obvious love-interest interactions they have. Also, this is a kids' series and the general character and plot is pretty straightforward in all areas. Spyro sacrificed the world for Cynder; that's movie cliche talk for "I am SO in love with you!"

On wikipidea it said they came from the same place,but are NOT siblings.It also says that Spyro shows feelings for Cynder because he risked his life for her,so theres your answer.
