Why some people not like A New Beginning?

I loved ANB in terms of graphics and the attack system. But gameplay was too short and linear, no mini-games, no side-games, no side-quests, no hidden quests, no hidden characters, only a lame interview with Elijah Wood as an unlockable, and no strategy at all. These are really what make the game worth your while to play.

Well if most of you don't like a new beginning don't get TEN then.

I kind of like the LoS (Legand of Spyro) series. I think that the upgrade system reminds me of other RPG games, Spyro style. The first games were the ones that got me hooked and I'll never forget the advances they made in technology (For their time). But The Legand of Spyro series seems like it's going to turn out to be a good series. The story for ANB was what my favorite part of it was. I liked it being morew dark and mysterious, beacause that's sort of the way I am persionally. The voices were excellent, other then Sparx who needed to be more energetic, and the playing styler was up to my standards. The one reason I didn't like it, was it needed more CHALLENGING puzzles. Though it appears that there will be more puzzles in TEN, so I'm satisfied. smile :geek:

I like ANB because Storyline, Voice, Guardians (and yeah guardian now on all four not two feet), Music is great.

I guess, some people don't like this because There're no Collecting and Spyro and Sparx looking weird in movie

I agree SamSam the storyline is good the dragons actually stay on all 4 feet instead of 2. The only thing I didn't like is the linear experience I hope The Eternal Night is alot better big_smile

One of the reasons I don't like ANB is that you could replace the dragons with humans and you get basicly the same thing.

Yeah, it really misses the point it grew on. Cartoon violence with some Juvenile humor. Now its all serious with drama and stuff and I hate drama.

Your not missing out on much. Gateway to Glimmer or Ripto's Rage to me wasn't that great. But It was still kinda cool.

No, RR or Gatway to glimmer was awesome, dont listen to them... if you liked spyr 1 or spyro 3 you'll like spyro 2. Okay, this is an old topic, and everyone already knows why i dont like ANB so i'm not bringing this up....

l like ANB just as much as the origanals but the reasons i dont like it more than the origanals is because of its levels and how there is nothing to collect. Insominac had a touch on their games that ANB just doesnt have. I also prefered the characters in the origanals.

i like TLOS, but lots of people don't like the Legend Of Spyro games because they're used to how the old Spyro games were. A New Beginning had so many changes.

- nothing to collect.
- you have to beat the game to play a level again.
- no portals.
- ENTIRELY new storyline.
- more fighting, less exploring.
- both, ESPECIALLY TEN, are much harder than the originals.

I love the old spyro, I forever will. But I like the new spyro better because one of my favourite actors play as him and the storyline is my cup of tea and I love the new characters whether they're good or bad.
