What do you think happened to Spyro's parents?

There might not be a large focus on individuals parenting hatchlings; maybe the whole dragon community raises them instead. But that's just my opinion, as I also don't think Spyro's parents will ever be mentioned in any future games and Ignitus instead will take over as a 'replacement' father. But I wait to be happily proven wrong, 'cause even I am interested in seeing his real parents. =P

maybe[god forbid] they died in the raid because they were not gaurdians of the four elements because we dont see any other dragons besides the elders or maybe they were in the war against cynder

There could be two ways of speculating Spyro's parents, depending if you're talking about the original Spyro series or the newer legend of spyro series.

i think youre pretty close to the truth their, despite new spyro and old spyro being very different, its possible that the process of caring for and hatching eggs is the same as in year of the dragon, where all the eggs are just sitting around being looked after by a bunch of elder dragons (none of which as far as i could see were female)

but since i havnt played the games theres probably some evidence of the dark masters masculinity that makes this impossible

I think that Ignitus won't tell Spyro that he's Spyro's father. And that Cyril is his grandfather. His mom could've after she gave birth to Spyro's egg. :-|

But the Dark Master is exile to the Dragon Temple. He couldn,t had even get a wife! Plus if he was Spyro's dad, Spyro would've died by now.

I know what happened to Spyro's parents in the original series... He had none.

I remember in YotD, they said that the fairies created and brought the eggs to the Dragon Realm.

I think that his father is Ignitus too, one reason is that its kinda obvious and alot of people will be dissapointed if Ignitus doesnt turn out to be his father.....atleast I think its obvious....but if Im wrong I stand corrected =P
