Re: what inspired you to play the spyro games?

Well, what inspired me was actually watching my dad play it. So, one day, I popped it in cause' it looked like a fun game. And so, I've loved it ever since then and still do. It's an awesome game. And his legand lives on. All hail Spyro! ^.^

Re: what inspired you to play the spyro games?

Well first my sister played it at a friends house. Then she told me about it. So our dad bought Spyro the Dragon for us, and we were hooked. My dad was "so good" at it because we were only 7 and 5 at the time. xD

Re: what inspired you to play the spyro games?

I first heard about Spyro after picking up issue 34 of the Official Playstation Magazine (UK), where said dragon graced the cover. Back then we collected these magazines every three months or so, hoping to try out the latest demos (which in that one in particular, I grew really excited by just playing through a demo of the first Klonoa title).

I still liked a good read, so I checked out the Spyro article. When I saw that Universal was behind the publication, I seemed interested straight away as I trusted them back then for what they did with Crash Bandicoot, a major franchise I enjoyed during the earlier times with the PS game set. Reading that it will also provide a platform challenge, I decided to keep a close eye on the game and see how it would come to develop in the coming months.

Lo and behold, it turned out to be a powerful franchise, with three sweet games on the PS1 and some branching out to other systems not too long since then. So there we go. tongue

In case you haven't figured out by my post, it's been since the series' interception in 1998. I've received most of the games that I own as Christmas presents over the years (the exceptions being Season of Ice which I got with the Gameboy Advance after moving house in 2002, Enter the Dragonfly which ended up being a festive purchase [ouch!] and Orange which I got for my birthday three years ago).

Re: what inspired you to play the spyro games?

Ž · I had a rough history with the Spyro games... bah.

First off, the first time I played Spyro was when I still have CTR, and I used that function wherein you can play the demo of Spyro 2 out of it. I was really bored then, so I was just trying it out. Not that I didn't like it or anything, but I haven't actually liked it that much... I think that was the year 2002 if I'm not mistaken, or 2004... don't remember.

Then at December 2005, when I was in Malaysia, I was a bit getting bored with some of my fandoms because I wasn't that creative at that time (currently was a fan of Klonoa and Digimon at that time), so I decided to look for a new series to mess around with. Just for the heck of it, I bought Spyro: A Hero's Tail. Well, I did buy a lot of PS2 games there.

When I got home, you'll be surprised to know that I haven't even touched that darn game, hahaha. I was a bit busy with my other games and forgot about that one. Eventually, about somewhere in March (May?), I was very much getting bored with everything I have (I conquered everything I was busy at), and decided to look for some other games. That's when the Spyro: AHT sparkled in my eyes. I was so bored that I decided to pop it in. At first, I really wasn't that much into it, and I was just playing it so that I could conquer another game (hah, sorry).

When I was done conquering it, I joined the AHT forums at Neoseeker, wherein I met those guys.... well, you know who you are, heh. And all of them are just *bleep* hilarious, which got me concentrated on my creativity and Spyro. For some odd reason, before I actually came to the Neoseeker forums of AHT, I already had my (self-proclaimed) relationship with Ember (the seniors know what). Well, I hanged out very long with those guys there, until we noticed that there were decreasing number of people. From that point, I decided to read on some fanfics, and imagine different worlds beyond the Spyro-reality, but relating to it. Going deeper and deeper into these thoughts, that's when I fully became attached to Spyro. (BUYING SPREE)

And how I got here is still known by the seniors, heh. Now... gah.

Don't ask me how, but I believe it was the Crash Bandicoot series (One of the first video games I had ever played), becuase of the Spyro demo that came with the Third game!

Re: what inspired you to play the spyro games?

When I was like 6 or 7 years old, they had one of those things at K-mart where you could play the demos of new games, so me being me, I went over to it. Someone already had a game on so i started playing it. Had no idea what I was doing, though. Was just running around Artisans world while being chased by a flying... something. I kept trying to kill it, since it kept following me and stuff. XD  (Had no idea why it was following me)
Anyhow, I literally had to be pulled away from that thing. Lol.  Then at Christmas that same year I received a Playstation 1 and a few games. Among those games were Crash Bandicoot: Warped, and Spyro The Dragon.
Been hooked ever since. tongue

Re: what inspired you to play the spyro games?

It all started when I was four years old. My six year old cousin had a playstation demo disc and he let me borrow it. I played the game every day and most of the games scared the living crap out of me, until I stumbled upon the one game that would change my life forever...SPYRO THE DRAGON!!!!!! I immediatly fell in love with Spyro and have loved him ever since that wonderful day!

No it's just doesen't seem right if he got it when he was 5 then that will be 13 years ago which will be 1994 but unless he means he just like dragons. (I'm just confused)
