What do you think the Movie is going to be like?

Well it seems, from what i've read, its going to take place in a very similar timeline to the TLOS timeline, except differences. We dont think that the Dark Master will be the enemy (well the main enemy anyway), neither will cynder or gaul, we think a new enemy will come. All we know about them is that they have pulsing red eyes (lol).

What i think the movie needs to be good:
1. A good Twist or actual idea- The movie needs to make up a unique idea or twist (eg Sharktale-a fish who with the help of a sensative shark pretends to be a sharslayer, and get ahead in life) or (eg back to the future- awesome time travel movie) or (the six sence- guy interviews a "crazy boy" who recons he can see dead people, guy turns out to be a dead person himself)

2.connectivity to the TLOS series- It would be nice if the characters kept their personalities and looks, aswell as enemies being the same enemies. Include the spirit gems, and the fury and all that.

3.Good Script- Dont make it lame, throw in some good, new jokes, dont make the story predictable, dont make it kiddy, all that kind of stuff.

From what they put up on Velvet Octopus, there's a few minor changes. But since they've taken it down, I don't know if they're changing it or what.

There will be changes in the script sometime, the production has only begun not long ago. A lot of movies begin with a simple script, as soon as the production goes further into the making of it so will the script and storyline. Spyro movie has a long way to go, so the longer we wait hopefully the better it will be.

I know, I cant even wait for my birthday its only two months from now and I think thats far away. But its best if the producers take their time and not rush it otherwise its going to end up like the movie barnyard, its rating was one star. Lets just hope spyro movie will have four stars or at least three stars.

yeah, i dont just want to see a story where spyro just is fighting enemies and eventually beats the big boss and crap, make an actual plot.

I was thinking about that. They'll have to make a fair few changes to cover up all the skirmishes that the game involves.

Well they wont include a boss in every chapter of the movie, it would be just boring because you know whats going to happen next, cynder will probaly be the hard challenge for spyro in the movie. They only put boses in it because its a game.

Well... they could add differences like instead of spyro and sparx finding Ignitus, Ignitus could find them, he might be looking for them because the time is needed for a purple dragon ( just my idea ). I'll probaly post more ideas later, I'm too tired at the moment -.- .

actually, the story says that the enemies will attack the swamp, and spyro and sparx run away to find help.

Really? don't remember that one, but that was just a random thought. I was too tired to think of something good. One thing that keeps me thinking, will they travel to tall plains and those other places or will they travel to one spot to save the gardians?

we dont even know if it will follow the story of ANB or not, Cynder was a villian like in ANB though. I think it just retells how spyro was found, how he defeated cynder and about a new enemy.

I'm expecting

1. A good storyline
2. Enough action (1 action part and rest talking and walking. BORING!!!)
3. Enough big lenght (A short movie is stupid, because all happens too fast and suddenly the movie is over.)
4. Many places (All in one place, Yuk!)
5. Enough big roles with certain characters (Especially guardians)
6. Characters not too different looking
7. Characters have same personalities as in the games
8. Same environment as in the game
9. Same voices as in the game (Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman, hopefully David Spade, Mae Whitman etc.)

I disagree. True having plenty of money (as well as a stellar voice cast, talented animators, excellent writers skilled composers, fantastic background and scenery designs and a few people who are really, really good at noticing finicky little bugs all over the place and getting them out BEFORE the movie airs etc) really helps, but it doesnâ€™t necessarily make a movie great.

Look at Final Fantasy: Spirits Within: that had the best animators, the best VAâ€™s, the best designers... and yet it flopped spectacularly.

Isnâ€™t someone here making a Spyro fanmovie too? That could turn out to be really great, even if she doesnâ€™t have millions of dollars to shove into funding it. And Iâ€™ve read some brilliantly written stories by unpublished people. Speaking of which: script writers? Are disturbingly important these days, considering that in the 1940â€™s or so even DISNEY didnâ€™t use script writers at all. I can kind of see why, since these days weâ€™ve seen so many awesome special affects that weâ€™re difficult to impress anymore... So moneyâ€™s great, but if the script sucks from the outset then theyâ€™re screwed before they even begin.
