Spyro 3 Flaws

Hi everyone, i posted a post on a topic and wanted to share it with you, it is the list of Flaws in Spyro 3... and there arn't many. Add to the list if you want:

Spyro 3 had some flaws
1.Glitchy (but tyhey were fun anyway excluding the Farm glitch)
2.Collecting all the gems to get 100% was a pain (For some people, anyway)
3.Skateboarding wasn't good enough (i thought the minigame was good, but some thought it left out some great parts of any skating games)
4.Too easy and the enemies are too easy to kill (I didn't mind this, but others did)
5.Crappy 117% boss battle and ending (i agree, probably because they rushed it, but i couldn't blame em, it was made in only 1 year)
6.Cant replay most minigames (This flaw was annoying)
EDIT: I replayed Spyro 3 and actually, most minigames ARE replayable
7.Music wasn't as good (debatable)
8.Levels too small

All too true Ratchet. All too true. That's why I never liked this game as much as the first two. One other possible flaw: Being able to go straight to the end of a level from the start via whirlwind etc took the fun out of beating a level when you go back to it.

i didn't mind that, and it was actually probably there to help people, but i se what you mean.
PS: 1, 2, 4 and 6 were all in Spyro 1 and 2

most loved game yet for me.. i was very pleased with the gameplay and such. you have brought up some great points aswell though.

1. The glitches were just fun. I'm glad they're in the game. It's still more to do after completing the game big_smile
2. A pain sometimes, when you miss just one gem in a level and is going a little crazy because you can't find it anywhere. But It's just more fun.
3.Skateboarding wasn't good enough? I don't think it could have been much better. It's one of the most fun things to do in the game smile
4. I'll say the same as you, Ratchet.
5. I don't care about that.
6. I agree.
7. The music... It's different from the music in Gateway to Glimmer and Spyro the dragon, but not worse.
8. I like the size.

Really, for me the only flaws I found that annoyed me were inability to replay minigames as stated, and the slightly disappointing 100% ending. It would have been nice to have the permanent Superflame back too, which I believe is absent.

Dont know if anyone else encountered that bug but in my version Spyros eyes hovered a bit on front of his head

That's not a bug. Graphics back then were never very good; they're bound to have a few minor errors like that.

1. I never found a single glitch. Maybe they were fixed in the Greatest Hits version.
2. Not really. It's one of the challenging parts of the game; I didn't find it at all annoying.
3. Are you kidding? I loved the skateboarding challenges. I still do them sometimes.
4. They have a few difficult minigames that made the game more challenging. And so what if the enemies are too easy to kill? It's better than how you have to kill them in TLoS, and that's not even the point of the game, anyway. >__>
5. I agree. Both could have been much better.
6. All I care about is that the skateboarding challenges are replayable.
7. Spyro the Dragon had the best music, by far. Then that Ryan Beveridge guy had to come in and ruin Stewart Copeland's masterwork. =P
8. Again, it's better than having them be so huge they require an autosave feature, as in ANB. I didn't think anything of the levels being a bit short until you pointed that out.

This is my favourite Spyro game. I agree with some of the flaws but some of them i dont.

1:Yeah its glitchy but some were fun to muck around with.
2:I think its fun to get all the gems. It can be a pain but mostly its fun.
3:I though skateboarding was really good. It was just a mini game so they arent going to include everything that a real skateboarding game has.
4: I like the difficulty but it would have been good if you could adjust it.
5:Havent got 117% so i dont really know.
6: I forget because my game is broken so i dont know again. It was probaly annoying though.
7: I liked the music in this game as much as spyro 1 and 2.
8: I liked the level size.

What's the Farm glitch?

The farm glitch is a glitch which occurs in Country speedway where after racing and beating the pigs, the egg is not rewarded to you and will never be rewarded to you in that save.

i think it happens in around 1 third of all saves. I remember my sister was *bleep*ed when it happened to her.

I agree with you. The 117% Boss battle was a disappointment. Not to mention I didn't like the real ending. Oh sure, it was cute and all, but being a little girl with an active imagination and high standards, I didn't like it. D:

I remember hearing about things like that happening. I think the Greatest Hits version was supposed to have fixed those glitches; that's the version DDR and I have always had, and it's never happened to either of us.

In the greatest hits one they just fixed up a few of the glitches. i think thats about it really.
