Re: Why No Auto Save?!
to be honest the auto save feature is annoying (just look at a new beginning) because the auto save well lets just say you die the game will automatically return you to the last AUTOSAVE even if you save manually (the same goes for restarting the game) so no the first spyro game should not have the auto save feature

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
It has an auto save. Whenever you go through or out of a portal it saves.

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
I don't mind it. The game is relatively easy.

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
It doesn't really make a difference where you save in a Spyro 1 level because when you start up the file again, you are at the beginning point of the level or world...

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
The adventuruous-ness of Spyro 1 kinda makes up for the saving-flaw, imho

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
Autosave can be a mixed bag. For this game, you pretty much can only progress and go forward, so there's hardly a reason as to why saving would be a bad thing. I don't think autosave is a flaw in this game.

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
Some games are kinda confusing with Autosaves. For example, on Sonic Gems Collection, 2 of the main 3 games autosave, but Sonic R doesn't. I'm not even sure Sonic The Fighters autosaves. Guess it's just Sonic CD then!

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
I've never really paid much attention to it... I usually just run through the game anyway, and just save everytime I get a new dragon XD

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
I actually voted Yes, but I'm thinking more along the lines of "It would be convenient, but not necessary" now... :?

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
Call me crazy, but I actually sorta like not having auto save.
Think about it: if you really screw up on a Spyro game (or if someone else does), you can just shut off the game console and your progress won't be saved if you or the other person didn't manually save the game. This has been a life-saver on a few occasions for me.
However, I'd save the game every time you get something important.
The reason why I voted No, is because I personally like doing things manually, myself, although having Zoe is convenient in later games.

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
Why do we need auto save when you just have to step on a platform nearby and it will take you 5 sec to save the game.Shouldn't be to much to ask about
if you do it from one time to another.I m Glad its not auto save.If i had to search for secret places in a level or try to get to a hard place i don't need to waste all of my life's

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
Since this game does not have AutoSave, you can do something really cool. Beat the game to 100% (everything except Gnasty's Loot). Then manually save the game before going into Gnasty's Loot. That way, you can enjoy playing Gnasty's Loot over and over again as long as you shut the console off without saving the game. So you can beat the game 100% and play Gnasty's Loot multiple times!

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
Ah right. So does Gnasty's Loot level close when you complete it?

Re: Why No Auto Save?!
No, it doesn't. I checked. You can go back into Gnasty's Loot at any time, although none of the gems will be there. So basically all you can do is capture the thieves to get to the Return Home Portal. The extra cut scene and also the credits will replay again, and you will end up in Artisans like you did the first time.
