Re: Not sure what to call it

Ž · Uh, OK, BF, it's not a game. It was devonm0's fic. I saw it in http://www.fanfiction.net , and don't ask me if I've read the M-Rated version, because that's where it came from, if I'm not mistaken, heh. I'm awaiting for the succeeding chapters of that Fic...

Re: Not sure what to call it

Hey, if anyone has any suggestions for this game idea of mine, please PM me about it.  Don't say something like "stop thinking about this project", or anything like that.  Krome will be the ultimate deciding factor of that.

There are two kinds of people in the world.  We have those who need a life, and then we have those who are dead already.

Re: Not sure what to call it

That is not my decision to make, dragon allen.  I'm leaving it to Krome Studios, if they decide to make it.  Oh, by the way, everyone.  While I'm here, check this out.  It's a bunch of information that I just put together.  It's the stuff that I'm hoping to see in the way of in-game features for the game.

Hidden text

Stat Descriptions

Health - Whenever someone loses all of their health, they die.
Breath Energy-Determines how long the controlled dragon can use breath powers.
Offense - Determines the amount of damage inflicted using physical attacks.
Defense - Decreases the amount of damage take when suffering from physical attacks.
Magic Offense - Determines the effectiveness of abilities.
Magic Defense - Decreases damage taken when suffering from directly offensive abilities.
Strength - Increases Critical Ratio.

Main Characters

Spyro: The hero since the beginning.  Famous for his many deeds among the Dragon Realms.  This time, however, he won‘t be able to succeed alone.

Sparx: In most Spyro games, Sparx was the health meter for Spyro.  Other times, including this time, Spyro has some other sort of a health counter, so in this adventure, Sparx helps by offering advice, lighting up dark tunnels, etc.

Ember: A young female pink dragon who is a friend of Spyro.  She can restore vitality to dead plants.  Also, because she weighs less than the rest, she can run faster and jump higher.

Flame: A young male orange dragon who is a friend of Spyro.  His flame breath can penetrate metal armor.  He is immune to fire and heat, so he can swim in lava, which will allow him to explore areas that the others cannot.  He can also conjure up a flame shield in exchange for some of his Breath Meter.  Watch out for water, as it will sap his health.

Cynder: A young female black dragon who is Spyros‘ sister (please correct this if I‘m wrong).  She can bypass dark fire as if it were nothing.

Hunter: A male cheetah skilled in archery.  You control him in some sub-areas.

Sheila: A female kangaroo.  You control her in some sub-areas.

Sgt. Byrd: A military-trained male penguin with rocket launchers fastened to his shoulders.  You control him in some sub-areas.

Bentley: A male yeti.  You control him in some sub-areas.

Agent 9: A hyperactive male monkey with a laser blaster.  You control him in some sub-areas.

Moneybags: The greedy bear is back, and he still does what he loves.  He loves to give away his services for outrageous fees, and that’s just what he does here.

Ignitus: An adult male red dragon and the Dragon Guardian of Fire.  Teaches Spyro all about the element of fire.

Volteer: An adult male yellow dragon and the Dragon Guardian of Lightning.  Teaches Spyro all about the element of lightning.

Cyril: An adult male cyan dragon and the Dragon Guardian of Ice.  Teaches Spyro all about the element of ice.

Terrador: An adult male green dragon and the Dragon Guardian of Earth.  Teaches Spyro all about the element of earth.

Hydren (My own design): An adult female blue dragon and the Dragon Guardian of Water.  Teaches Spyro all about the element of water.

Vulkan (My own design): The main villain of the game.  An adult male dark red dragon.  He is the dragon of the dark plane that stepped out of line and threw the three planes of the Dragon Realms into chaos.  Some think that he has some connection to the force known as ‘The Dark Master’.

Hazards

Flamethrowers: These are usually in hatches in the wall, and shoot fire periodically.

Ice Blowers: These, like Flamethrowers, are usually in hatches.  These, however, shoot frigid wind.

Lightning Rods: Lightning Rods absorb electricity and shoots it at you.  Use Water Breath on it, and when lightning strikes it, it will be destroyed.

Fans: These try to blow you away.  This is very bad, because they are usually found on thin pathways with chasms on either side.  Use Lightning Breath to short it out, then use a charge attack to destroy it.

Acid: Bad stuff!  Acid will burn your scaly hide right off if you stay in it for too long.

Gelatinous Acid: Worse than regular acid!  This stuff sticks to you if you fall in, and the only way to get it off is to drench yourself in water (lava for Flame).  Avoid at all costs, because the tiniest bit on you will cause your HP to be drained.

Lava: Very dangerous.  Of course, if you're playing as Flame, it's nothing to worry about.  Otherwise, stay away!

Dark fire: This is as bad as they come!  Do not approach unless you're either controlling Cynder, or you want to die, because touching this stuff as anyone except Cynder means instant death by barbecue.

Collectibles

Gems
The main collectible in the game.  There are a lot to find, and they come in different values.  They count toward 100% completion, and there is a total count of 75000 of them, if you count the 15000 in Infinity Abyss.

Gem Values
Red: 1
Green: 2
Purple: 5
Yellow: 10
Magenta: 25
Silver: 50

Crystals
Crystals are used automatically when you pick them up, and come in different colors.  Each color fills up one of your meters.

Crystal Colors
Red: Recovers Health.
Green: Recovers Breath Power.
Blue: Gives you Experience Points.
Purple: Gives you energy toward activating your character's Special Ability.

Light Gems
Light Gems are used to open the different levels.  There are 101 of them in total, if you count the one in Infinity Abyss.

Upgrade System

This system makes a return from The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning.  This time, however, it allows you to boost more than just breath power.  To upgrade different aspects of Spyro's strength, you must collect Blue Crystals.  Below is a list that shows how much experience is required for each upgrade.

Level-up Upgrade table
Health: 1 experience gauge per upgrade.
Breath Power: 1 experience gauge per upgrade.
Offense: 1 experience gauge per upgrade.
Defense: 1 experience gauge per upgrade.
Magic Offense: 1 experience gauge per upgrade.
Magic Defense: 1 experience gauge per upgrade.
Strength: 1 experience gauge per upgrade.
Breath Upgrade 1: 1 experience gauge for each breath type.
Breath Upgrade 2: 2 experience gauges for each breath type.
Breath Upgrade 3: 3 experience gauges for each breath type.
Breath Upgrade 4: 4 experience gauges for each breath type.
Note: Each upgrade of Health increases it by 1/5 of a gauge. Each upgrade of Breath Power increases it by ¼ if a gauge.  All other statistics are increased by 1 point for each upgrade.  Health and Breath Power start at 1 gauge, and the others start at 5 points.

Special Abilities

Each character has a Special Ability that can be used by collecting enough purple crystals.

Spyro: Fury Attack
When used, the effect of the Fury Attack represents the breath you are currently using, and the level of power that breath is at.  It will heavily damage all enemies in the immediate area.  After the attack, all of Spyro's statistics double for 30 seconds, represented by a meter along the bottom of the screen.  During this timer, Spyro will be a golden color.

Ember: Supercharge
When used, Ember's charge attack becomes stronger and faster than normal for 30 seconds, represented by a meter along the bottom of the screen.

Flame: Super-breath
When used, Flame's Breath Powers become stronger and longer range than normal for 30 seconds, represented by a meter along the bottom of the screen.

Hunter: Fire Arrow
When used, Hunter's arrows become fire arrows for 30 seconds, represented by a meter along the bottom of the screen.

Sheila: High Jump
When used, Sheila's jumping ability becomes more effective for the remainder of the area.

Sgt. Byrd: Power Rocket
When used, Sgt. Byrd's rockets become stronger and gain a blast radius for 30 seconds, represented by a meter along the bottom of the screen.

Bentley: Thrash
When used, Bentley's offense increases for 30 seconds, represented by a meter along the bottom of the screen.

Agent 9: Charged Laser
When used, Agent 9 becomes able to store energy in his laser blaster for a charged blast.  This ability lasts for 30 seconds, represented by a meter along the bottom of the screen.  Charge a blast by holding down the shoot button, and then release the button to fire.  If you are holding the button after the timer expires, the blast will stay in the gun, but will stop charging.  The shot can still be released, of course.

Yes, it is a lot.  I hope Krome doesn't mind the size.  I'm going to be sending it to them at some point.

Re: Not sure what to call it

Ž · We are largely unsure that Cynder is acutally Spyro's sister. There has been actually no evidence of family-relationships in any games involving dragons yet, so we can't really make sure... best to ask the company who made the game, heh. Making game ideas? I admire you for actually having the patience to think that, heh. I could, only if I'm not that lazy and impatient, heh.

Re: Not sure what to call it

The thing about that is, I'm trying to think of how I can be as descriptive as possible with the story leading up to the game plot.  That's the only reason why it's not in there.  I will put it in before sending it, you can count on that.

Re: Not sure what to call it

No worries.  I have another thing to put here.  It's the revised version of the game script so far.  Unfortunately, there are no additions to the storyline.

Hidden text

[Scene: Space]

Narrator: In the Dragon Realms, there exist three planes.  They are...

[Scene: A massive field roaming with Dragons]

the plane of the living...

[Scene: A path with clouds on either side]

the celestial plane...

[Scene: A path with pits of fire on either side]

and the abyssal plane...

[Scene: Outer Space]

They all existed quite harmoniously amongst each other...Until now.  When a dragon from the plane of hell takes charge of his world, the three planes are thrown into chaos.  Only one dragon can be counted on to set things right, and that is...

[Scene: Spyro standing alone in a field with mountains in the background]

Spyro the Dragon...

[White screen flash]

He's going to need all the help he can get, and he will recieve it.

[Scene: A red background and a flowery meadow, with a pink dragon standing in the center.  The name Ember is written beneath her.  A cut-scene is then shown, where Ember restores health to a poisoned tree.  After that, her body flashes gold for a second, and she follows up by Supercharging some incoming enemies.  The scene changes to red background again, but with a volcano this time, a red dragon standing in front of it.  The name Flame is written beneath him.  A cut-scene is then shown, where Flame is swimming in lava.  While he's submerged, he flashes gold for a second, and follows up by breathing a fireball at a rock.  The scene then changes again, to a female black dragon standing on a pillar surrounded by black flames in a red background.  The name Cynder is written beneath her.  A cut-scene is then shown, where Cynder walks through a black flame.  Spyro is then shown doing the same thing, but when he tries to walk through the flame, he in engulfed in it, and when the flame clears, nothing remains.  The scene changes at this point to the red background again, and one by one, Hunter, Sheila, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley, and Agent 9 fall into view, and then dissappear shortly before the next character.  After that, the scene changes again to a picture of all of the characters shown, as well as Spyro, standing as a group.]

This group of heroes are the last hope for their world.  If they can't stop this threat, nothing can.

[Scene: Black screen fade out, then fade in to an image of the game title, with Spyro, Ember, Flame, Cynder, Hunter, Sheila, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley, and Agent 9 in front and to the sides of it.  This is also the screen that would be reached if the player interrupted the movie to get straight to the game.  Also, the intro movie will replay if the game sits on this screen long enough.]

[Scene: A field.  Nighttime.  Focus on Spyro, who is sleeping.  The scene then fades into a white transition, which then fades out to a dream sequence, where Spyro is standing on a path surrounded by clouds, looking around.]

Spyro: Where is this?

Mysterious Voice: This is the celestial plane.  It has connections to a new prophecy, as do you.

Spyro: The celestial plane?  A new prophecy? Do you mind explaining?

Mysterious Voice: A prophecy states 'When the three realms of dragons know true malevolency, the hero of youth shall shed light on existence.'  The prophecy speaks of you, hero.

Spyro: Ok, but what about the celestial plane?

Mysterious Voice: You'll know in time.  For now, a new task awaits you.  Wake, hero, and go forth.

[White scene transition fades in, then out.  Spyro wakes up and looks around him, then sighs]

Spyro: I wonder if it was just a dream?

Random Female Dragon: Stop thief!

[Black scene transition.  Spyro is now under player control.  Upon meeting the Dragon, another cut-scene begins]

Spyro: What happened here?

Dragon: An egg thief has made off with my lone egg!  Please, Spyro, do something!

Spyro (mumbling): Don't I always?

Dragon: The thief went that way, out the window.

[Upon jumping out the window, the thief is shown in a cut-scene.  After chasing him to the place where Spyro woke up, the thief starts running around in circles, panicing.  When the player kills the thief, the story continues.  A black gem and the lost egg fly out of the smoke that is left behind from the destroyed egg thief.]

Sparx:Alright, we got it!  Can we go now?

Spyro: Alright.

[Control of Spyro is then returned to the player, who has to go back to the mother dragon.  Upon reaching the dragon, another cut-scene takes place.]

Dragon: Thank you Spyro.

Spyro: It was my pleasure.  I always enjoy taking out egg thieves.

Dragon: Well, thank you.

[Ignitus is seen approaching Spyro and the mother dragon.]

Ignitus: Spyro, there you are.  I would like to give you something.

Spyro: What is it, Ignitus?

[Ignitus reaches behind him, and brings forward a bright red gem glowing with power]

Ignitus: This is a Fire Gem.  Meet me at the dojo, and I'll tell you more about it, as well as show you how to get it's power.  Take this map as well.  It should help you to get around.  It shows you not just the village, but the whole of our world.

Spyro: Alright.  Thanks, Ignitus.

[Control is then returned to the player, and a message scrolls along the bottom of the screen, which says 'You can now look at a map at the bottom-right corner of the screen, or by pausin the game and selecting the View Map option.  For now, follow the icon that has appeared on your map.'  Upon reaching the dojo, another cutscene is played.]

Ignitus: I see you've come.  Welcome back to the dojo.

Spyro: So, what about the Fire Gem?

Ignitus: Well, if you let the power from the Fire Gem flow through your body, you will recover some of your lost knowledge.  What I'm talking about is your ability to breathe fire.  You seem to have lost it when you used that most powerful element against Cynder so long ago.  This, however, can re-teach you that knowledge.

Spyro: Really?  Are you sure?

Ignitus: Well, no...but it's the best chance we've got.

Spyro: I agree.

Ignitus: Well then, feel the power of the flame burning within.you.  Feel this power and let it become yours.  Close your eyes, concentrate, and take a deep breath.

[Spyro does as he is instructed, and when he exhales, he releases a stream of fire.]

Ignitus: That's it!  You've got it!

[Spyro opens his eyes, and looks around him.]

Spyro: Really?  I did it?  I did!

Ignitus: Now that you've got that down, I think it's time for a bit of a recap on what you learned about fire.  What do you think?

[The player is then given a choice between a recap, or just moving on with the story.  If they choose not to, then the story moves on, but if they choose yes, then the following happens.]

Ignitus: Ok, come with me.

[A door opens, Ignitus enters, and Spyro follows.  The screen fades out black, and then fades in to inside the dojo.  There are four dummies scattered about the room that Ignitus and Spyro are in.]

Ignitus: It's simple really.  First, let's give you a warm-up using some physical strikes.

[Control returns to the player, and a message scrolls across the bottom of the screen that says 'Press the circle button to use melee attacks.  Perform a chain of melee attacks on one of the dummies.'  When the player is successful, Spyro returns to Ignitus, and he speaks again.]

Ignitus: Good, Spyro.  Now, knock a dummy into the air, and then destroy it with some aerial strikes.

[Control returns to the player, and a message scrolls across the bottom of the screen that says 'Press and hold the circle button to hit a dummy into the air, then press the X button to jump, and tap the circle button several times to perform a series of aerial attacks on it.'  When the player is successful, Spyro returns to Ignitus, and he speaks again.]

Ignitus: Now I think we should try something different.  Knock a dummy into the air, and then headbesh it back down to the ground.

[Control returns to the player, and a message scrolls across the bottom of the screen that says 'Press and hold the circle button to hit a dummy into the air, then press the X button to jump, and press the R1 button to headbash it.'  When the player is successful, Spyro returns to Ignitus, and he speaks again.]

Ignitus: Ok, now I think it's time we moved on.  Get ready to use your fire breath.

[Control returns to the player, and a message scrolls across the bottom of the screen that says 'Press and hold the square button to breathe fire.  Use it to destroy one of the dummies.'  When the player is successful, Spyro returns to Ignitus, and he speaks again.]

Ignitus: Excellent, Spyro.  That's all for now.

Spyro: Thanks for that, Ignitus.

[Black screen fade out, then fade in to outside, at the point of the game that would be automatically reached if the player had decided not to have the recap.]

Ignitus:  Well then, Spyro, I think it's time for you to get going.

Spyro: You're right, according to a dream that I had...

Ignitus: I know all about that.  Now then, go, and do not forget what I have taught you over these long years.  If you find the Fire Crystal, be sure to come back here.  I can use it to return to you even more of your past knowledge.

Spyro: Ok, Ignitus, I'll keep that in mind.

[Near where the game started, a wall crumbles away to reveal a cave, control returns to the player, who has to go outside, and into the cave.  Upon approaching the cave, another cut-scene begins.  Cynder approaches Spyro.]

Cynder: Spyro, are you headed on another adventure?

Spyro: Yes.  Please stay here.  I can't bear to see you against me again.  Promise me you'll stay in the village.

Cynder: But...

Spyro: Cynder, that's enough.  I want you to promise me that you'll stay here.

Cynder: No!  I'm coming with you!

Spyro: Stay here!

[Spyro looks up into the sky at nothing.]

Spyro: You may not care about what happens to you, but I do.

[Ignitus approaches Spyro and Cynder at this time.]

Ignitus: Cynder, he's right.  It's probably better if you stay here...For all our sakes.

Cynder: ...

Ignitus: Cynder?

Cynder: Alright.  You win...This time.

[Control then returns to the player, who has to go into the cave, and then exit through the other side.  Outside the cave, at the coast, a cut-scene begins.]

Mysterious Voice: So, the young purple dragon has made himself known to us?

Spyro:  Who's voice is that?

Mysterious Voice: I am Cutter, but you would not know me.

Mysterious Voice: And I am Kannon.  Cutter's right hand soldier.

Spyro: How many of you are there?

Mysterious Voice: One more.  I am Morph.  You'll never be able to catch me!

Spyro: What are you?

Cutter: That's none of your business.

Cynder: Spyro!

Spyro: Cynder?!  I told you to stay at the village!

Cutter (thinking): Cynder?  The one we truly seek...

Cynder: Spyro, what's going on?

Spyro: Cynder!  GET OUT OF HERE!!!

Cutter (chanting): Shadows come forth.  Darkness revealed.

Kannon (Interrupting and holding up something): I have an ancient magical seal.

[Everyone stares.  Crickets can be heard in background.]

Cutter: WHO CARES?!?

Kannon: Sorry...

Cutter (continuing): Shadows come forth.  Darkness reveal...Oh forget it!  I summon thy dark forces to do my bidding!!!

[A vortex of dark energy rises from Cutter's body, makes a vertical arc in it's path, and engulfs Cynder.]

Spyro: Cynder!

Cynder: Spyro!  Help me!

[Control then switches back to the player, and a boss fight begins.  A caption scrolls across the bottom of the screen, which says 'defeat your foes before time runs out to save Cynder!'  The player can only continue if the conditions are met.  After the battle, Cutter is left panting, and a cut-scene plays.]

Kannon: Cutter!

Cutter: We'll settle this later!  Retreat!

Morph: Right behind you!

[The three disappear in funnels of dark energy, and the cut-scene continues.]

Spyro: Cynder.  Are you alright?

[Suddenly, something in the distant sea catches Spyro's attention.  It is a vicious storm of unapparent origin.]

Spyro (Distracted Voice): What's that...?

[Ignitus suddenly arrives on the shore.]

Ignitus: That would be Typhoon Island, shrouded in a constant storm.

Spyro: Oh.

Ignitus: Speaking of Typhoon Island, something is messing up the ecosystem of the island.

Spyro: Really?

Ignitus: I've recently learned that the swirling winds of the storm exist all throughout the island.  Not just outside it.  You must be cautious.

[Control returns to the player at this point.  After arriving at Typhoon Island, a green dragon tackles Spyro viciously]

Dragon: Why are you here?

Spyro: Please, I mean you no harm.

Dragon: Explain yourself!

Spyro: I have merely come to help you.

Dragon: Help?  You mean the ecosystem problem?

Spyro: Yes...Now, do you mind getting off.

Dragon: Sorry.

[Black Scene Transition fades in, then out to the dragon walking beside Spyro.]

Dragon: I am Typhoon.  I guard this island with my life.

Spyro: What's important here that made you choose to do that?

Typhoon: The Fire Crystal.

Spyro: What's the Fire Crystal?

Typhoon: It has the power to save the universe, or destroy it, depending on how it is used.

Spyro: So, what's going on with the ecosystem?

Typhoon: It started when a dark mass fell into the lake.  We sent an investigation squad, but no one returned.

Spyro: I see.  Where is the lake?

Typhoon: It's at the center of the island.  If you're going, be careful.

Spyro: I know.

[Control is then returned to the player.  When the player reaches the lake, a cut-scene plays (don't worry, there shouldn't be too short of a time between arriving at the island and this happening.)  The water bubbles, and a winged fish comes out of the lake.]

WInd Fish: Well, you're different from the rest.

Spyro: You're right, I am!

Wind Fish: However, you are no match for me!

Spyro: We'll see about that!

[The real fight then begins.  After the fight, the Wind Fish plummets into the water.  A cut-scene then begins.]

Typhoon: You did it!

Spyro: Where's the Fire Crystal?  I think I can put it to good use.

Typhoon: Right here.

[As he  says that, he pulls a growth of bright red crystals from behind his back.  The water then bubbles again, and a violent wind catches Typhoon by surprise, and causes him to drop the Fire Crystal.]

Spyro: Impossible!

[The Wind Fish emerges from the water, and begins to fly away from the island, taking the gem with him.]

Wind Fish: Finally, I've completed my mission!

Typhoon: I will not let that monstrosity have the Fire Crystal!

[Typhoon flies up to the Wind Fish at a speed that resembles teleportation, and kicks it down toward the water.  Spyro then jumps at and uses his fire breath on the Wind Fish, and then catches the Fire Crystal.  Meanwhile, the Wind Fish burns to ashes.]

Typhoon: Thank you.

Spyro: Sure thing.  I'm Spyro, by the way.  I must be going now.

Typhoon: Where to?

Spyro: Back to Dragon Village.  Farewell!

Typhoon: I see.  Farewell then.

[As he takes off, Typhoon waves farewell to him.  Black scene transition fades in and out to reveal Spyro back on the coast.  A dragon then approaches Spyro.]

Terrador: Hello Spyro.  I've been looking after Cynder.  I decided that she needed someone to help her recover.  She wasn't in the best shape.

Spyro: Thank you Terrador.  Can I count on you to look after her for a while

Terrador: Yes, you can.  However, if she follows you, there's nothing I can do.  You should know, because of Sparx, what lengths siblings are willing to go to protect each other.

Spyro: Yeah, but from Sparx to me is the exception to that.

Sparx: Hey!  What does that mean?!

Terrador: Spyro, focus!

Spyro: You're right.  Sorry.

Ignitus: Spyro, I think it would be best for you to go to Floral Meadow now.

Spyro: What's at Floral Meadow?

Ignitus: A dragon named Ember is there.

Spyro: Ember, huh?  Ok.

Ignitus: Yes.  Shortly after she went there, we lost track of her.  Something must be going on over there.

Spyro: I see.  I guess I'd better hurry.

Terrador: You'll find the Floral Meadow on the other side of the Forest Path.

Spyro: Thanks, guys!  Come on Sparx!

Sparx: No, I think I'll stay here and hang out a bit.  I'll see ya when you get...

[Spyro suddenly grabs Sparx.]

Spyro: I said come on!

[Spyro then runs off toward the forest with Sparx in tow.  Upon reaching the Forest Path, which links Dragon Village with the Floral Meadow, a cut-scene plays.]

Spyro: This is the Forest Path.  It looks pretty gloomy.

[Control is then returned to the player.  Upon reaching the end of the area, a plant is seen blocking the exit to the Forest Path, and a cut-scene plays.]

Spyro: What's going on here?  This plant's vines are blocking the path!

[Suddenly, the plant becomes mobile, and roars menacingly.]

[Spyro jumpa out of the way of an incoming attack, and a boss battle begins.  After the defeat of the Malice Plant, a cut-scene plays.]

Spyro: Geez!  If that kind of monstrosity is guarding the Meadow, I can only wonder what's going on in the meadow itself!

[Control is then returned to the player, who has to go into the meadow.  When Ember, who is sprawled across the ground, injured, is approached, a cut-scene is played.]

Spyro: Huh?  Are you Ember?

Ember: Whoever you are...Get away...

Spyro: What are you saying?

[A tree then emerges from underground, and with a vine-like branch around Ember's waist, she is lifted into the air.]

Ember: Help me!!!

Spyro: Hey!  Put her down!

Demon Tree: You think you can order me around?  Fool!  You don't know what you're up against!

Spyro: I don't much from this viewpoint!

Demon Tree: You'll regret saying that!

[A boss battle then begins.  If you attack Ember by accident, she says the following line.]

Ember: Hey!  I'm not the enemy here!

[Anyway, after the boss battle, the Demon Tree withers, and Ember is released.  Then, a cut-scene plays.]

Ember: Thanks!

Spyro: No problem.

[Ember then approaches Spyro, and kisses him on the cheek.  Spyro blushes and begins stammering nervously, and the cut-scene continues.]

Spyro: Um...We just met.

Ember: So what?  Can't I show appreciation like that?

Spyro: Huh?  Oh, I didn't realize your intentions.

[Ember huffs at that.]

Ember: Oh yeah, what's your name?

Spyro: I'm Spyro.

Ember: Well, I think we should get back to Dragon Village.

Spyro: I agree.

[Control is then returned to the player, and the controlled character is returned to Dragon Village.  At that time, a cut-scene plays.]

Ember: I didn't realize that so many trees had died.

Spyro: Horrible, isn't it?

Ember: Yeah, but I can fix that.

[Control is then returned to the player, and a caption scrolls across the bottom of the screen, which says 'As Ember, press the triangle button next to a dead plant to revive the plant.  Try it out on the trees around the village that fell victim to the dark energies, and see what happens.'  After all the trees are healthy again, the next area, the Lair of the Golem, becomes accessible by going between the two trees that, when dead, had been blocking a cave.  After getting through the cave, a large room is reached, with a large monolith in the middle.  Dark energy suddenly coarses through the monolith, and it comes to life, as the Golem.  A cut-scene then plays.]

Spyro: What is that?

Ember: I have no clue, but whatever it is, it doesn't look friendly.

[A boss battle then begins.  After the defeat of the Golem, a glow comes from the Golem, and the source of the glow zips outside the cave, which Spyro and the group follow.  Outside, the light heads up into the sky, and a column of light shines down from above.  A cut-scene the begins.]

Spyro: What is it?

Ember: I don't know.

Ignitus: It is the gateway to the celestial plane.

Ember: My body is tingling.  Something doesn't feel right.

Spyro: This is no time to think about that!  Let's go!

[Spyro and Ember then enter the column of light, and are transported to the realm above.]

I think I did a decent job improving it.

Re: Not sure what to call it

Nice job at the Script! Very nice details. I think Krome will like it. But i don't think they will make it into a game though. But nice job!

Re: Not sure what to call it

Thanks!

This just in!  Krome does not own Spyro!  Spyro is still owned by Sierra Entertainment! (To those of you who already know this, just ignore it.)

On top of that, I have added another section to the document of game data that I will be sending to Sierra.

Re: Not sure what to call it

it does sound a bit cheesy but there is a possibility that i would give a try as long as it has decent characters and a good story line oh and maybe more playable characters (such as cynder, ember, flame, sgt bird. and the rest except blink he sucks)

Re: Not sure what to call it

Um...Dragongaz?  Have you looked at the stuff in the spoiler tag at the top of page 3?  If not, I suggest you do so.  It'll explain everything I've come up with for the game so far.

Re: Not sure what to call it

Ž · Spyro still sucks at the hands of Sierra. Sierra is only specializing in special effects; they couldn't really make a good storyline. I remember them only being famous for Counter-Strike and Half-Life, which are multiplayer games with no storylines and specific gameplay or whatnot. Notice their VERY bad job at Crash Tag Team Racing... and although they did a good job with ANB a bit, I don't know if they can actually keep that up, because they had quite a hard time with that...?

I am sorry, but this is the most terrible idea I have ever saw, especially the part where Spyro and Cynder have a friggin kid!! It just makes me sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :barf:

I asked someone else, and I'll ask you as well.  Have you looked at the modified script later in the topic?  I changed quite a few things, taking that out being one of them, after I realized just how weird it was...Which was shortly after writing the original script I'll have you know.

Re: Not sure what to call it

Uh...Do you mean a story for a game, or a story as in like a fanfiction?
