Hello Everyone, If you are an old member from 2008 you may have remebered a 2d fan game I was working on, well I am pleased to say I have continued with this game, And Beacuse of the school laptops, i can work on the game during School now, which means i have much more time.

This basicly is a 2d platforming randition of the original spyro games. It will contain all different homeworlds, levels, minigames, enemies, characters, abilities and much more.

But I need YOUR help more than anything, The thing taht makes games great is the design, and without dsesign the game gets boring, Thats why i need craetive imput from EVERYONE. This includes:
Level names
Level ideas
enemy ideas
ability Ideas
Minigame idaes
character idaes
LEVEL DESIGN

If anyone has played the original spyro games, they would know what I am talking about, if not, just post a comment.

But it basicly tells you what the game is like.

Jobs:

Story creater-Incharge for the main story and sub-plots, regulations for the main story include:
1.Must be original, but simple
2.Must give a reason for Spyro to have to collect gems & other collectables
3.Must give a reason for why Spyro is the only one for the job!
4.Original Spyro, not TLOS, the game is set after Spyro 3
Subplots are plots to discribe what is happening in each level and minigame, please be creative yet have a simple idea. dont forget to mingle with the minigame creators.
THE MAIN STORY HAS ALREADY BEEN CHOSEN

Minigame Creater-Your incharge for creating ideas for minigames (REMEMBER, THEY HAVE TO BE SIMPLE, WE ARE CREATING OUR GAME ON GAMEMAKER, NOT WITH XTREME CODE) we already have ideas for things like minigames based on old arcade games, but please explain why spyro has to do the task this way (Example, say we are doing a copy of pacman, what is Spyro being chased by? What does Spyro eat to be able to chase these things back)

Text Manager-Hard job, these people are the ones who are to create what each character will say. It would be a good idea to be a character designer aswell so that you know the personality of the characters.

Character Designer- think of good NPCs for each level, think of their personalities, species, appearance. If you are good with sprites, well then draw them in sprite form.

Artists- IMPORTANT JOB, you are incharge for sprites, backgrounds, etc, you dont have to do all of these, you can just focus on a spacific field if you like.

Music Creator- You're in charge of getting good music for out game, you can create your own or find spyro-y tunes but they must be midi filed (or very compressed) NOTE: I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY MUSIC RIPPED STRAIGHT FROM THE GAME THOUGH REMIXED VERSIONS ARE ACCEPTABLE (originals only)

Title Creator- Your job is to create the title for the game and the levels, make it great.
For the levels:
1.No words previously used in the original Spyro games (such as Speedy Canyon [Dry Canyon])
2.make it spyro-y

Code/Game helping- You know gamemaker? well then you can help me with things i get stuck on.

2.Fixed the health Glitch (one of them, anyway)
3.Added Whirlwinds
4.Added Zoe (savespots)
5.Added 5 and 10 gems
6.Added gems system
7.Added Simple charge
8.Added extra level
9.Added fireworks for exit level
10.Added sparxworld (not very far, press S Beta Testers)
11.Added Save
12.Added Moneybags
As Of November 2009:
13.added extra level
14.added hover
15.fixed charge
16.added ghost platforms
17.added basic inventory
18.Come up with new ideas and strategies

Spyro_loves_me: Thankyou, yes we are looking for music that sounds similar to the originals, as long as its pretty catchy and has similar instruments (or he midi equivelent), you know what I mean!

Remember to check up on the Art Request forum everyone, i'm putting requests for new sprites daily (well almost daily)
-Can someone please make me some sprites for chests (like metal, normal and lock & key chests)

I'm good with sprites, minigames, story, characters, enimies and bosses, and even figuring out what the characters say.

I got the story. Here it goes.
Gnasty Gnorc returns! Spyro must save the dragon kingdom once again because he is the only one that knows how to put him in.....well......uh.....MISERY! Spyro needs to collect Gold Gems to power the proffessers teleporter to travel to different realms. Gnasty has giant machines poisining the land and thier guarded by giant robots. There is one in each realm. Spyro can collect normal gems to make them into Gold Gems! And of course, MoneyBags needs his money(terd).
Thats it! ratchet! I think I want to do story, lines, and minigames.

NOW I SEE!

The reason why your game does not work on my PC because GM6 executables are not compatible with Windows Vista!

There is a patch HERE that makes GM6 games compatible with my system. I'll try it.
