Quote Bug?

Okay, most of the time I see a quote on this site, it is incorrect. Is there a bug that makes it show the tags instead of the white box, or are people just messing the quotes up?

I'd like to resolve this, because sometimes it's hard to see where a quote begins/ends and when normal text starts when the tags are shown.

there is a problem with the quote parsing system. it is not that serious. it is low on my priority list of things to do.

I looked into it. It will be hard to fix, because a series of other mods have made a problem in the regular expression parsing.
