Spyro: Working Title Story Brainstorm

Hello, in this topic We're going to brainstorm all the possible ideas for the Story of my fangame, Spyro: Working title. Here are the rules for your entries:
1.Must be original, but simple
2.Must give a reason for Spyro to have to collect gems & other collectables
3.Must give a reason for why Spyro is the only one for the job!
4.Original Spyro, not TLOS, the game is set after Spyro 3
5.must NOT INCLUDE ANY OLD VILLIANS, new villian please

Yea.....but if you dont have a villain name yet i could prolly make one up, like the characters iv made up in my story. I just stair off into space looking at my keyboard and when my eye crosses a letter i keep it in mind, then i pass over another time and when it pops up i get the name. But ratchet if you need a name i could make one up...

Whoever makes the story makes the villians nae, but i may change it later
