Do you like Spyro's new look?

I like the old Spyro like in Ripto's Rage. But i like him the best in a Hero's Tail. LOVE him in that game! wink

is this Spyro in dawn of the dragon or eternal night we r talking about?. Cause i think they made a pretty good look on him in eternal night and then they totaly destroyed him in dawn of the dragon

I guess they are trying to give him a really strong, mature look to make him look kinda dangerous and more of a "strong dragon" look.

Well With change comes problems but also solutions...I think i hated the change at first, because it threw me off at first, but i grew to like his new look. Even in the Good Graphics for the Cinama scences...But i will admit i acctualy like it..

One thing we've got to remember is that Spyro's design in the first game was heavily influenced by a lack of advanced programming ability - there as only so much they COULD do and make him look good (heck, even the only reason he's purple is because that was the colour they could get to stand out and actually be visible in all levels. He was originally green, but they kept losing him in the Artistan hills XD)

By the time ANB came ot, programming had jumped up a few gears and it would've looked too basic to leave him in the old style, so really the way he looks now is likely just an advancement on that original style: they didn't have the ability to add the kind of details (like scales, for example) then like they do now. If they did, he might not look so different in the original games alongside the new).

The new look took a bit of getting used to for me, but once I did, I found it to be very nice, and pretty easy to animate (which always contributes to a design's success), so I voted yes, I like Spyro's new look.

I like his old design AND his look in Dawn of the Dragon. I'm not really a fan of the whole "HUGE EYES" thing, I can understand a huge head would probably mean a huge brain...but eyes? Its just...weird. I'd rather have it kinda...even out, like they did in DOTD.

No. I absolutely hate it.
Spyro is supposed to be adorable, small, but have a little of that preteen spunk thing. NOT look like a dragon elder.
And... blue eyes? What? He's supposed to have dark-purple eyes, right? To match the rest of him?
I think this movie design is even worse than what ANB did to him. It's terrible.

Spyro's new look is freaking awesome. He looks better than he ever has; more like a dragon. I like the old design too, but this one it much better in my opinion.

I can't believe you would just not see the movie over something as silly as looks! hmm

(And personally, I hated A Hero's Tail. Spyro sounded like he was on crack and the game was just too silly.)

I guess some people are just...pickier than others. I love the TEN look, and the DotD look is pretty cool, same with the old series's Spyro. The movie one...well, we only have a poster to judge from, so I'm gonna reserve an opinion on that.

I always loved the idea of what they would look like when they grow older. It adds suspense, and plot twists, and a definite time flow where time is gradually progressing and not just freezing on spyro's young years.

1.5: DotD (yes 1.5 because I'm having a hard time deciding between Original and DotD)
2: ANB/TEN Cinematics
3: ANB/TEN
4: Movie Poster (what the heck...looks like someone tried to mix TNMT (the Ninja Turtles movie) with Spyro...and who does NOT know that Spyro's eyes are purple?!)
