No Blood in DotD!

Don't worry, everyone, there will be no blood in DotD! Chis Wilson finally replied to one of the questions!! This is what he said on Sierra!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry that Mike and I haven't had a chance to answer any questions recently. We've been very busy working with the team to wrap up DotD. I just wanted to quickly take a moment to confirm that there will be NO BLOOD in the new title. What you saw in the gameplay footage was a work in progress effect for when enemies are defeated. The red effect that everyone has seen has been changed so there should not be any confusion in the final release. I hope that clears up this debate.

On a side note, the game is coming together really nicely and I really hope that you all enjoy this final chapter.

For proof, this is the page where he said it: http://forums.vgames.com/thread.jspa?th … 0&tstart=0

Re: No Blood in DotD!

Well, I'm glad that's been cleared up. I didn't really expect it to really be blood anyway. It would've been too good to be true. Hope this ends the hundreds of debates.
Thanks Aura wink.

Re: No Blood in DotD!

It's not just a 'kids game'! That's what Sierra wanted to get away from, and make it something all ages can enjoy, not just kids. tongue I'm glad there's no blood, not very Spyro-like.

Re: No Blood in DotD!

...oh come on, wasn't it too... obvious?

The Spyro series has been constantly in the E-E10+ Rating. If that was changed, then the entire trilogy would be DESTROYED. It's self-explanatory from thereon...

How do you know? For all we know, it could get every single player in the world to want to buy that game... So I got 2 words for ya. Prove it.

Re: No Blood in DotD!

Who's idea was it that there was BLOOD in DotD? Why would they put blood in now?

It's just basic marketing technique. Kids make up a large portion of the game audience, and if this were a game that were meant to appeal to only teens or older, I doubt it would have as many sales. Mainly because a brightly colored cartoony-looking purple dragon in a game filled with blood and overly-dramatic overtones would be kind of a contradiction.

Re: No Blood in DotD!

Well, the DS version of DotD was rated E10+, so the other consoles could be rated E10+ too.

Re: No Blood in DotD!

I'm glad there's no blood. I can handle blood just fine, I don't find it gross at all. But blood in a Spyro game? No way. Spyro is a kids game, and it should STAY a kids game. And if for some reason they do decide to put blood in a Spyro game, it should be very mild blood.
