I have a feeling the apes were the DM's "means to an end" and are probably in a similar state to everyone else in their world now, if not just more random minions serving the dark master. Or maybe they've been mutated into horrible creatures to better serve his purpose and those awful beats we see on the cover art of the newest game are really just ordinary creatures gone horribly wrong as a result of dark-energy exposure.
How about an enemy constructed from poisoned dragon gems? Or the guardians being utilised as enemies via mind control, or something. Now THAT would be ironic.

They should add something like Claws of Torment...like litte hobgoblin guys that has sharp claws and spiked backs...<Dthey really would be from torment... (Torment is another word for saying all chaotic ness)

We COULD get some enemy healers, you know, enemies that heal themselves and allies (slower then attacks, but each healing 'hit' returns as much damage as an attack)

no. aero is latin for flying and zard from lizard

Ape Fighter: Basic airborne enemy who uses machine guns to try and gun Spyro and Cynder down (speed of the bullets, about that of the Gnorc rifles in Twilight Harbor in the origonal Spyro)
Ape GtD Missile Emplacement: Ground to Dragon missile emplacement that fires non-homing rockets.

lizardoz--- a lizard enemy
bomber-- a bomb enemy
armor lizardoz-- a armored lizardoz
Ok, why not call the lizard enemies Lizards? Unless you mean similar to Zelda's Lizalfos? If that's what you mean, they're lizard men, not just lizards.
Anyway, here are some of my ideas:
Clear Slime - Just what it sounds like, a blob of transparent slime. It's quite common. It can't attack, but contact with it damages you, not a lot though. Melee attacks heal it, and it's susceptible to breath damage.
Red Slime - Just what it sounds like, a blob of red slime. It's quite common. Contact with it damages you, and it can use attacks that envoke the element of fire. It's susceptible to ice, and all other types of attack heals it.
Yellow Slime - Just what it sounds like, a blob of yellow slime. It's quite common. Contact with it damages you, and it can use attacks that envoke the element of electricity. It's susceptible to earth, and all other types of attack heals it.
Blue Slime - Just what it sounds like, a blob of blue slime. It's quite common. Contact with it damages you, and it can use attacks that envoke the element of ice. It's susceptible to fire, and all other types of attack heals it.
Green Slime - Just what it sounds like, a blob of green slime. It's quite common. Contact with it damages you, and it can use attacks that envoke the element of earth. It's susceptible to electricity, and all other types of attack heals it.
Black Slime - Just what it sounds like, a blob of black slime. It's quite common. Contact with it damages you, and it can use attacks that envoke the elements. Breath attacks heal it, and it's susceptible to melee damage.

Surface to Air Rocks. 'Nuff said.
Ape Frigate: The Dark Master needs to control the seas as well, and these ships are designed to spread his dominance across the seas.
Ape Patrol Boat: These boats are the Dark Master's Anti-Air support. Equiped with several StA (Ship to Air) orb launchers, these ships are rough customers for dragons. At least, when they're flying.
Ape Carrier: When it comes time to deploy aircraft from the middle of the ocean, it's time to bring out the carriers. They scramble a constant stream of Ape Aircraft untill defeated. Due to heavy armor, the only way to take them out is to blow up it's emplacements. If the Bridge, it's turrets, and Engines are destroyed, the ship will lose opperation and sink.
Ape Battleship: When it comes time to play Battleship, this is what the Apes bring. Devastating attacks, but the apes who man this thing have Cupid's aim. That is to say, crappy.
