The Destroyer is Malefor's creation, a gigantic mile-high bipedal beast so huge there's a town on its back. Wherever it goes it leaves a trench of fire and lava behind, and its task is to complete one revolution around the earth (pretty sure it's only one revolution, anyway) - which would destroy the world.

Nah, that's the Lava Golem in the Catacombs level. He appears later in the game, but the Xbox 360 achievements show that Spyro and Cynder have to kill it, then they have to kill the Destroyer. They're two different colossal monsters.

So you're telling me that's just the Lava Golem ... ugly looking thing ain't it!!!

Wonder what The Destroyer looks like ... only time will tell I guess

No that was not the Destroyer at the end of that trailler. The Destroyer is a fire titan monster but it looks a lot like Aborick from TEN and the Stone Sentinal from ANB there very different in appearance that creature at the end was eather the Lava Golem but something should be pointed out it's arms were small and it moved around like a worm. So it could have been the Lava Golem or a new creature conjured up by Malefor himself.

I still think it is the destroyer because it seems to match the picutre and you clearly hear ignitus saying:

"By our ancestors... What is that thing?"

I also remember reading that the destroyer leaves behind a trench of fire wherever it goes and in that clip it is coming out of a volcano.

It leaves behind a trail of fire. But that does not match what the Destroyer looks like and besides it probally did complete it's trail across the Dragon Realms and that's what caused that treamble. But that thing was moving more like a worm. I think the Destroyer was already free and that thing was maybe created as a backup plan by Malefor but the guardians battle it. While Spyro and Cynder defeat the Destroyer reversing the effect of it's trail and then go after Malefor.

ok if you want answers i've got them. yes the destroyer is the thing coming out of the volcano in the trailer. he was not created by malefor, but resurrected by him to bring about a new age by destroying the earth. he has to go completely around it to complete the ring of annihilation and will destroy the world once he reaches the ring of fire around the volcano. malefor feels that it is the duty of purple dragons to resurrect the destroyer for that purpose.

lol....yeah....behold our exciting lives. I beat the game about 100 times over...I only play the ending segment now lol....I just like the final cutscene and the credits.
