Re: Ratchet's dawn of the Dragon Discussion THread
{quote}Sierra confirmed that Spyro, Cynder, and Sparx grew 3 years in the crystal, while many articles say that they were trapped in the crystal for 10 years... Understand? They were trapped in the crystal for 10 years, but Spyro's Dragon Time made their age slow a small bit, so they aged 3 years. See? Dragon Time didn't effect them as much as it effected the small space around them.
It's a bit of a long-shot, but that fits it perfectly...[/quote]
Here is my theory on this. Your confusion may stem from the assumption that dragons age at the exact same rate as humans do. Here is what I mean, have you ever considered the fact that perhaps Spyro and Cynder had indeed been trapped in the Crystal for 10 years, but they matured the equivalent of 3 years. What I'm implying is that dragons have different life spans than humans.
What I mean is; basically, it would take a dragon 3-4 years or so to age the same amount as it would a human to do so in one. For instance, adolescent dragons like Spyro and Cynder may in fact be fifty years old. There is nothing in the games that suggests that this theory can definitively be proven false.
So therefore, when Spyro and Cynder were trapped in the crystals, they aged normally.
Of course, assuming this theory goes, this brings up the issue as to how Sparx doesn't die off, because normally bugs don't live very long. I don't know, maybe dragonflies are just special and magically have anti-aging powers. After all this is a game after all.
Are you a fan of Kingdom Hearts? If so, check out my new fanfiction crossover of the Legend of Spyro and Kingdom Hearts. You'll like it. I guarantee it.

Yeah, but if the Dragon's were trapped in time, they shouldn't age at all, not naturally

But when Spyro slows down time, he only slows down slightly...
So they might have grew normally.
And you must remember, this game isn't suppose to scientifically make sense... It would be boring if it was like that.
We are arguing over nothing, who cares how Cynder got her leg braces back? I understand the time crystal concept, get the game and you will understand too...
Anyway, all games have plotholes, even if they are storyline based... Don't call people lazy just because they didn't make something 110% perfect, because I for one think it is 100% perfect already (you know who I am talking to).
Let's talk about positive things, such as what you LIKED in the game.

Can I at least say Sparx's voice is so unintentionally hilarious? Seriously, I was playing with my friend today and as soon as he talked for the first time we both looked at each other and burst out laughing.
Why, Wayne Brady, WHY?

How did Spyro even make that crystal?
he used all of his powers combined, and made the crystal. think about it, if you saw when he made it, when they lit up, it was fire. here...
he made the crystal by
Fire: to make the crystal
Ice: to freeze the fire INTO the crystal
Earth: i think THIS was to protect the crystal from being shattered
Elecrtric: HAVE NO IDEA!! lol
i hope i didnt confuze you.
WHOOOO 11 days till christmas!! I CANT WAIT!

No, he made the crystal by exhausting all his time power to save them.
I almost laughed when I heard Spar'x voice too XD They even made a joke "I'm fine, voice keeps changing..." I kinda like it though. It sounds pretty good to me.
BTW, I LOVE Cynder's voice <3
And the Chronicler told Cynder that because she was exposed to the darkness she learned her four powers, he even said it was "a power most uncommon".

That clears up one 'plothole'.
I haven't even started mine yet, I'm waiting to play the entire thing on 2 player co-op. It has been in my Wii for the past 2 days... Torturing me...
I had to disconnect all the cables from my Wii and hide them in different places around my house just to keep myself from playing it...

No, Spyro wasn't using his dragon time normally, he was using it To Stop time inside the crystal, which wpuld, in theory, stop him aging completely.
If Spyro used his dragon time, that would mean that if you looked at Spyro in the Crystal, He would be moving extremely fast, and hence wouldn't be stopped in time. He would also age faster in the crystal, not slower.
If Spyro used it the other way round (which we've never seen him do), he would still be moving but extremely slowly, and Spyro would see the world faster. This would mean that he would hardly age. So either way, the theory is WRONG.
And you must remember, this game isn't suppose to scientifically make sense... It would be boring if it was like that.
It doesn't have to make scientific sense, it just has to make sense.
We are arguing over nothing, who cares how Cynder got her leg braces back? I understand the time crystal concept, get the game and you will understand too...
I care, and especially as TLOS is a game that is Story-based
Anyway, all games have plotholes, even if they are storyline based... Don't call people lazy just because they didn't make something 110% perfect, because I for one think it is 100% perfect already (you know who I am talking to).
There are some games which make complete sense, and TLOS being story based, also should.

Re: Ratchet's dawn of the Dragon Discussion THread
From the looks of this ... this is gonna be a HUGE game...
I like Christina Ricci as Cynder, bit more sassy a bit more 'tude (attitude) and it suits her down to the ground..
Wayne Brady ... alas no .. I've only heard certain parts of him from the cutscenes Aicebo has thrown in .. *shakes his head* why didn't they put someone like Matthew Perry in (that's Chandler from Friends) ?? Like I mean to say he's (Matthew Perry) would have been working on his sarcastic wit as Chandler for quite a while and for it to fit into Sparx's persona ... need I say more ?
I can't wait until Wednesday/Thursday week then I'll get my copy and start it up see how it goes from there ..
