Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

Yeah I agree.....the fight was a real letdown....it was kinda cool the first time around....but for the like...last 30 times I have gone through the ending...it's actually so easy it isn't funny.

I think they could have done so much more with this fight. Heck if their had been one final round where Malefor went like...super dark...and Spyro went dark, it would have been verrry sweet.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

^That wouldn't have worked out as well, because then Cynder wouldn't be as powerful compared to them (which would be bad for the possible 2nd player).

Though it was what I was expecting.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

Well I can see how it wouldn't have worked out in some ways....it was just a theory...if anything I think you should have been allowed to unlock their dark modes...that would have been really cool to see.

But hey I'm not the one who developed the games.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

hey, what happens, happens. we can't change anything now. i just think the game was a little bit of a letdown compared to how amazing they tried to make it seem. don't get me wrong, it was still good, but not as good as i expected it to be. it was a little too short.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

i know. they were probably in a rush to get it done though. those poor people have been away from their families for 3 years working on the game.  in a way you can't blame them for rushing and i know they did. after all, did you see the unchecked glitch of sparx in the enchanted forest? that's kinda funny.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

No I didn't lol.....I really don't pay attention to small things like that lol....but if they were away from people that long then yeah they might have rushed it....but you really should focus on the matters at hand no matter how difficult the task...just look at those poor people in pixar lol...

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

Well it was better then the first two in a way....but yeah it is still a disappointment...but let's not feel too bad about it...they certainly can make more...and they are gonna make more....just depends on where they are gonna go with them.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

true. can't wait to see what the next ones will be like and who they're by. they should do a series where spyro is completely grown up.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

Yeah that would be pretty cool to see....I wouldn't mind if EL did the games from now on...I liked the graphics and everything....just need to fix up the fine details and make a game that is more in depth and features a better storyline.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

It's a step in the right direction. Now if only they'd keep walking...

Though, I have to wonder about a couple what-if scenarios...

What if it had been ELB from the start? They were "stuck" with what Krome had left them in some ways, would they have changed the story if they'd been calling the shots since ANB?

or, on the other hand

What if Krome had done DotD as well? There are things in ANB and TEN that are pretty much dropped in DotD (ex- The islands in ANB, the shattered vale(sp?) mentioned in TEN). I can't help but wonder what they'd had in mind.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

Honestly I'm glad as heck that Krome didn't do this game. I think that this story with Krome's formula wouldn't have gone over too well....or perhaps Krome would have also redesinged the characters to fit in with the time.

I did notice something though....if you look closely at the dragons in both series...take Spyro and Ignitus for example....they appear on scale the same sizes. Like...their is no real difference in size between the two in all three games....so technically....the design presented by EL was based on the same ages the dragons had in Krome's games.

Unless of course Ignitus also grew as Spyro did....I don't know that was something I noticed. Either way you look at it....I enjoyed EL designs a lot more...I would have really enjoyed it if they had done the whole series...hence why I would like them for future games.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

Yeah, I'm glad ELB took over, but I still wonder about the stuff that's mentioned but never seen.

It's just the problem with switching developers on the third game is that 2/3 of the story are already over, several characters have been introduced, the general gameplay is already in place... You can't just suddenly change all that. They did change some things:

Hidden text

The Manweersmalls and Kane's tribe aren't even mentioned. Most of the world is one big landmass, when a line from Ignitus from ANB suggested it was mostly islands...islands which are never seen in DotD, not even referenced. And then you have to wonder how there's a standing dragon city despite Cynder thrashing the Guardians and seemingly wiping out the dragon race (or at least it was hinted at by Gaul). In order words, they seemed to throw out the certain things altogether.

But other stuff had to stay the same (ex-the general storyline), they didn't have much freedom in some aspects.

I don't envy ELB, they had tough order to fill. I think they did well, but now they can (hopefully) do better.

Re: Cynder...Gaul...Dark Master!!

No doubt they did an excellent job. As for the whole landmass thing...I don't know..maybe they thought that three years and the events that happened on The night of eternal darkness changed some things.

I def know what you mean with the whole dragon city thing....maybe it was in ruins while Cynder was in power...or maybe it was one of the last outposts left in the world...and once she was brought back to the light it was rebuilt...

But again you are correct in your views.....but I'm still glad that EL took over...it's just a shame they didn't create the whole series.
