Malefor's voice

Ok so I really don't like Malefor's design it could have been a lot better but I'm here not to talk about that. I wan to hear what you thought of his voice?

Personally I hated it. I hate computer generated voices. It can be done but just a little bit to add some effect no completely destroy the voice of an actor...

I have to say, Mark Hamill is my idol. I LOVE his voice work. He was THE best Joker ever, and he's been awesome in about every cartton he's been giving voice.

I was sooooo hyped when I heard that he's going to be the main big guy in the series and wanted to see it real bad...

But then a big let down!!!! I couldn't even undestand him 'cause of all the voice filters!!!!

Ok so if you know how he sound now take a loook at this video i shows a clip of Mark Haills original voice with out computer intervention.

What do you think would it be better.

I have to say that this way he sound a LOT more scarier and creepier...

Re: Malefor's voice

I AGREE. Lol....I already voice my oppinion.

I told ya he sounded better with his normal voice. As for the appearance I didn't think it was that bad.....but if you check out the concept art in the game....I think his earlier design was better.

As for the voice...EL really screwed up....you don't want players to have to turn on the subtitles to understand a single section of dialogue..

Re: Malefor's voice

EL had nothing to do with the voice casting or acting. But whoever did sure messed up with Malefor's voice. Why hire Mark Hamil if you're going to pitch shift it so badly that Jim from accounting could have done just as well? >(

Re: Malefor's voice

Exactly the point. They should have left his voice just up to Mark...he would have more then been enough to do the job.

EL did have nothing to do with the voice work...but Chris was part of the direction of voice actors....he shouldn't have played aroudn with it....guess it just sounded good in his mind.

Re: Malefor's voice

I was just so scared they were going to pull a Luke Skywalker (Hamill) on Spyro

Malefor: Spyro . . I am your father.

Spyro: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Re: Malefor's voice

Given that Malefor died over a thousand years before Spyro was even conceived (if that's how dragons are even created), I had no worries on that score. In fact, I was right about most of my predictions for Malefor, which was kind of creepy. o.O

Re: Malefor's voice

ROFL, yeah. but this leaves me curious as to who Spyro's parents were.

And on a different matter, I wonder if Malefor's father was a black dragon that wore a mask so he could breath, and if he has a twin sister [/insertshameless-starwarscrap]

Re: Malefor's voice

It's not known at this time how dragons come into the world. The end of DotD implies that they might not be created in the expected way.

But, in the off chance that they are, it's a generally accepted (and plausible) theory that Ignitus is his father and his mother is an unknown (likely dead) dragoness.

Re: Malefor's voice

Well apparantly Cynder got pi@#ed at the face their were too many females lol...and killed them all...unless they all left the Guardians because they were lousy husbands lol......but I'm pretty sure that Spyro isn't related to Malefor.....maybe Ignitus....but I'm not sure...
