Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

I think Spyro and Cynder were trapped in some kind of alternate dimension together, but they're technically not dead, so that's why the Chronicler didn't know what happened to them.

Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

Certainly possible. That was what I was thinking at the end too...because they did seem to be in a more...heaven...like world....but who knows. He practically created a new world...so they very well could be still there.

Come to think of it, I think there's a chance that Spyro and Cynder created the world of old Spyro...Who knows?

Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

Yes but they already have told everybody that the new series is not a prequel in any way. Would be pretty dang wierd if they suddenly linked it right back into the old again lol...but who the heck knows...we will not see until they make another game.

I think that because Cynder stayed with Spyro he survived. If he had done it all on his own, I think it would've used all his strength and killed him but with Cynder's power too neither of them died.

I'd say they're officially a couple. Spyro never said "I love you" back but since they were all happy and flying around with each other I think they both felt the same way.

Yeah your right. cynder has shadow power that can go underground. remember.:)

Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

Yes, that must be what happened. I can see her now flying through the ground, enveloped in shadow, carrying the exhausted and unconscious Spyro the same way he carried her from convexity in ANB. She was thinking, "I'll do the same for him, I can't leave him." The probably remark on the similarity of each others rescue in that meadow......as  pillow talk after they SITM. wink lol, couldn't resist. Yay, hundredth post.

Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

Yes, I believe they are offically a couple. Do you remember Spyro saying in a New Beginning that it took all his strength to destroy Malefor's influenced Cynder? He looked very tired at the end. Yes, Spyro and Cynder looked so delighted and contend. It is so wonderful to hear her saying, "I love you."

Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

I think this makes sense but just one thing that wonders me.

At the end...spyro was the only one that used the energy. cynder just stepped back and said i love you. so it gives me this theory.

As spyro was doing the light thingy, cynder said i love you. in the end the world was only bit by bit attached. so i think that spyro loosened the power before it was to late and then settled himself. cause also, did you see the cutscene at the end? it showed half of a dragon in the stars. ( half dragon, half strength used.) That's what i think. That spyro saved himself for cynder.

sorry for throwing in the theory though. if it offended you guys

Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

Nobody is gonna be offended by it lol...it's an open forum and everyone has ideas....I don't know if it has much credit...because I'm not sure if he really save himself just by reducing his power...I think he did unleash it all...and that it was suppose to be the end of them perhaps...but when she did say it...that power of love granted them protection over the power of the fury...and even then the fury attack was meant to give life back to the earth...so in all it wasn't a devestating destructive attack...it was prolly just suppose to drain Spyro of all the power within him....but hearing Cynder's words gave him more reason to live on...as for the dragon in the sky...I think it was a side-effect of this supposed sacrifice...and even then we still don't know where they are per say...and we won't know for awhile.....but your theory still makes sense...and any of them are possible lol..unless it's completey bogus.

Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

I always thought they would be a couple, Spyro always chasing her around. But about that theory, could Cynder have given her power? I think that Spyro wouldn't have died of exhaustion, but he wouldn't have time to escape and would be crushed.

So how did Cynder save him? Remember how Ignitus generated the force-field and saved the couple? Well Cynder did the same thing, I even wrote a little script somewhere, I'll just go find it.

It continues on from "I love you"

Spyro: I...
Cynder: Hang on Spyro.
Cynder gets closer to Spyro.
Spyro: What are you doing?
Cynder: Sparx gave me a job to do you know.
Cynder generates a forcefield similiar to Ignitus
Spyro: No! Don't, you wong't be able to hold it. You'll die!
Cynder: Perhaps...
Spyro: I won't let you die!
Spyro tries to both put back the world and generate the force-field.
Spyro: Cynder?
Cynder: Yeah?
Spyro: Stay close to me.
Cynder: Always.
They both begin to glow, Cynder glowing black and Spyro purple and they sort of explode, and soar upwards, blackout. We see the world through Spyro's eyes, he wakes up on the floating islands.
Spyro: Cynder?
Cynder: It's over, it really is.
She kisses him.

END

It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.

Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

Well I have always thought that something needed to counterbalance the power so that Spyro could make it out alive...and seeing as how Cynder was with him when he made this sacrifice...so in theory Cynder admitting that she loved him in the end of the cutscene gave him the power needed to accomplish his fury and surviving to tell about it....the power she granted him through that newfound realization really helped in my opinion....but that's just me.

Re: Cynder's Promise (Spoilers)

Move over "OVER 9000", "Slammin in the meadow" has you beat.

As for the topic, I'd say my favorite 'answer' to the ominous question of HOW they got out is Cynder's outburst of emotion impowered Spyro just enough so that they could escape alive.  As for why the Cronicler can't find him, maybe he used up so much power, that he isn't really "Spyro" anymore, hence why the books can't find him.
