Yeah lol...you should make some more of those...they really make my day haha..picturing Cynder in that world really does get me thinking. Poor Spyro would have to undergo a serious attitude change.

Re: Cynder in the old Spyro games?
Here's a few examples of how I imagine Cynder in my mind if she were to interact with Insomniac's world and Spyro. I like the idea of her being the only character to be able to put Spyro's arrogance in his place. I guess Elora does it too, kind of, but she doesn't intimidate him.
PS. Sorry for the cheap digi-drawings but I did them really fast just now to illustrate my point in the dialogue.
PPS. In the third image Cynder is using a different version of a fear attack, as in the way I re-imagined her world, the dragons from there can manipulate their shadows.

Re: Cynder in the old Spyro games?
Okay, when i actually have read through this thread, i think that kazoobie's idea is great. Far better than ratchet's theories to bring tlos and originals together. Too complicated (a time paradox), more like trying to force them together, not thinking how it would work in the game. I have always though that a sixth level for spyro 1 would been great (gnasty's land or whatever doesnt count). A land with counterpart dragons for dream weavers, dark dragon breed? Not evil, what someone might think:
Like how Dream Weaver dragons create good dreams, the dragons from Cynder's world could be the opposite and bring fear and nightmares, perhaps sharing the philosophy that fear is an important motivator for living beings.
Fantastic idea, if someone is gonna remake the original (dont bring up false hope, highly unlikely), this sixth dragon world would be welcome.
Ps. Your pictures were great.

Well it is something really cool to think about...and yeah Kazoobie's ideas were very very good...and the picture were even better....yes it wasn't complicated...kept things simple just like most fans want.

Re: Cynder in the old Spyro games?
Well, I'm glad you guys liked the pictures, even if they were really quick. I'm glad they got my idea across, at least, haha.
Yeah lol...you should make some more of those...they really make my day haha..picturing Cynder in that world really does get me thinking. Poor Spyro would have to undergo a serious attitude change.
Hmm, well I definetly want to draw more and go further into Cynder's hypothetical character since I love re-designing. (Maybe it's a compulsive hobby) I was planning on re-establishing all the worlds plus introduce new ones from the first Spyro to theorize what might have been if the game designers had decided to evolve the old world rather than to reboot it.
For example, I wanted to slightly change what differentiated each breed of dragon from each other in looks, such as Dream Weaver dragons actually having feathered wings to look more dream-like. Since the first game also lacked it, I also wanted to draw female dragons for each world, since maybe they had some features male dragons didn't. (For example, female Beast Maker dragons could have had frills on their necks like frilled lizards.)
Another thing I wanted to do was to make a significant same-age-as-Spyro dragon for each world that could be a guide to him. I haven't gotten around to fully deciding, but I have some ideas. I discussed with one of my friends the possibility of re-designing Ember to be an inhabitant of Dream Weavers, or Flame for Beast Makers or another invented world dominated by very warm-colored dragons with flame for manes who live in volcanoes.
I also always liked the idea of a mostly-underwater world (such as Atlantis from Banjo-Tooie) with water dragons, and for Cynder's world, a sort of haunted wasteland with dead trees, graveyards, gargoyles (as both allies and enemies) and a gothic architectual castle.
Anyway, when I'm not too busy with end-of-the-year finals I'll get around to making more.
If you guys have any ideas you can tell me too. I'm still having trouble deciding what Cynder's world would have been called, heh.

Re: Cynder in the old Spyro games?
Hmmm...well making ideas is something I'm usually pretty good at....just trying to think of certain characters that might fit into the worlds pretty well...the basic designs were shown pretty well in each world.
I suppose Ember would fit in pretty well with the Dream Weavers world...then again their really is no other world I can see her fitting into besides that..except maybe Artisans...as for Flame I think he is a perfect fit for the Beast Makers...either that or Peace Keepers...being a fire dragon and all....then you would have to find other dragons to fit into Artisans, Peace Keepers, Magic Crafters, and this new world for Cynder.
Going by the image you have given for the world she inhabits...I will have to say something like...perhaps Hallowed Plains.....or Shadow Peaks....Lost Towers....Castle of Desolution...idk I could come up with a million of them before one actually sounds good lol..
I also like the idea of an all water world....Serpent's Trench...or something water related I assume...but yeah all good ideas...nice job.

Re: Cynder in the old Spyro games?
She would have easily fit into the aesthetic of Beast Makers; however, it would have been incredibly difficult to work her into the first game. The second or third would have been an easy fit as a side character.

Re: Cynder in the old Spyro games?
She could...but she would not be Cynder, as she would need a new personality, so she may be called cynder and look like her, but at the end of the day she would not be Cynder...that said I don't know how they can change a personality when there is non there to begin with :-P
