-=Dawn of the Dragon - The epic ending.

[Mods may want to sticky this one... it doesn't matter, though.]

I took 2 days writing down the epic ending to Dawn of the Dragon on my
notepad. I have 23 pages of script and small scene descriptions written in
my notepad, so I really hope you all like what I have done.

Note that this is a spoiler of the ending to Dawn of the Dragon, so make a
good choice in reading this. Here it is...

Here is the character list
S = Spyro
C = Cynder
M = Malefor
I = Ignitus
Ch = Chronicler

     [Approaching the doors to Malefor's lair]

S - Are you ready for this?

C - I'm scared.

S - Just stay close to me.

     [Both enter the lair]

M - At long last, my guests have arrived. Please... come in.

     Such determination to get here...

     It seems we share other qualities besides that of our color.

S - No, I'm nothing like you!

M - Do you think so? Hmm... we'll get to that.

C - Don't listen to him Spyro. Don't listen to anything he says.

M - You look so weary. Allow me to make you more comfortable.

     [Malefor removes the evil bonding chain]

     There. That's better, isn't it? It is the least I could do for you Cynder.

     After all, you've done so much for me.

S - [Mad] You used her!

M - I used her. She used you. What does it matter really?

S - [To Cynder] What does he mean?

M - What... He doesn't know? Go on, tell him. You mustn't leave him in the
     dark...

S - Tell me what?

M - How she lured you into the Well of Souls... how she tricked you into
     freeing me.

C - You're lying!

M - Hmm... I find it peculiar... how you've chosen to remember things.

     Let me assure you. It was you who freed me, Spyro. [Then to Cynder]
     And you who brought me back.

     And we have Cynder to thank for that. Hahahahaha.

S - Cynder? Is it true?

C - No... i don't know... I don't know anymore...

M - Oh, I think you do. But perhaps you need a little nudge...

     [Malefor turns Cynder evil and black, turning her against Spyro]

S - Cynder!

M - Hahahahahahahahahaha!

S - Cynder! No!

M - Ignitus should have warned you...

     You are alone here, young dragon. You have always been alone.

     Still, here you are... trying so desperately to save this miserable
     world...

     refusing to accept the true role of the purple dragon.

     [Cynder hits Spyro, causing him to fly back and hit a wall]

     I'm sure you've been told I was the first of our kind...

     But I assure you, there have been many.

     [Cynder slowly approaching Spyro]

     It has been the duty of our predecessors to ressurect the Drstroyer and
     the Golems of the deep... to bring about the freat cleansing.

     This is the true nature of our kind.

     Your destiny is to destroy the world.

     [Cynder approaches Spyro and whips him with her tail]

S - [Looking up at Malefor] No! I don't believe that!

M - Of course you don't. But you have fulfilled your destiny nonetheless.

     In my time, I was stopped... prevented from completing my quest.

     But you... you have carried the flame... be it through your own will or
     not.

     And soon, the world will be destroyed, you along with it...

S - No... [Getting a bit scared]

     [Cynder whips Spyro with her tail]

     [Cynder looks at Spyro with demanding eyes]

C - Fight back!

     [Spyro uses his wings as a shield as Cynder hits him again]

M - Hahahahahahahahahaha!

     [Cynder whips Spyro with her tail]

C - Fight back!

     Why won't you fight back!

     [Spyro gets up and looks at Cynder]

S - Because you've left me nothing to fight for.

     [The statement turns Cynder back to normal state]

C - There's always something.

M - [Mad] Argh! So be it! You've made your choice and you shall suffer the
     same fate!

     [Reattaches the evil bonding chain]

     Prepare to die!

- - - - - - - - - -

     [Player(s) have a long battle against Malefor]

- - - - - - - - - -

M - It has begun!

     [The Destroyer jumps into the volcano]

S - Oh no! We're too late!

M - Welcome to the end of the world!

- - - - - - - - - -

     [Long fight against Malefor as his lair begins to break apart and fall into
     the volcano]

- - - - - - - - - -

     [At the base of the volcano]

M - You cannot defeat me! I am eternal!

     [Malefor fired beam of fury at Spyro and Cynder, but they fire back
     with two beams of their fury, creating a struggle of who has stronger
     fury power, and who will survive]

S - Just... hang... on!

     [Spyro and Cynder's fury overpower Malefor's, knocking him far back]

     [Malefor gets up, then dragon spirits encircle him]

M - What is this!

     [Spirits drag Malefor underground]

     Noooooooo!

C - [As the world begins to rupture and fall apart] Spyro, I'm sorry. I'm so
     sorry.

S - Don't be. It's over now.

C - [With a question-like voice] This is it...

I - Spyro, when a dragon dies, he does not truly leave this world.

     His spirit lives on, binding itself with nature, offering hope for the
     future...

- - - - - - - - - -

S - I know what I need to do. Just get out of here, Cynder.

C - Spyro, no... You don't have to do anything. Let's just go.

S - Where, Cynder? There'll be nothing left! The world is breaking apart.

     But I think I can stop it. I think I'm meant to.

C - Then I'm with you...

     [Spyro slowly hoveres up into the air, white from light and releasing a
     massive wave of energy]

C - [Whispers] I love you...

- - - - - - - - - -

     [Spyro's mass of energy pulls the world back into a large cluster of
     floating islands]

     [All of the allies walk out of a cave, looking at their new world with joy]

     [The stars in the sky form a dragon figure]

[Credits]

     [Scene of the Chronicler at the Well of Souls comes into view]

Ch - Be welcome friend. I have been long expecting you...

     A new age is beginning...

     With each new age,

     a worthy dragon is chosen to chronicle the many triumphs and failures
     of that age.

     This has been my duty for many millenia.

     And now, Ignitus, I pass this honor to you.

I - And... What of Spyro? [Pause] Is he...

Ch - Hmm, that is the question isn't it? [Looking at the book]

     You see, each time a dragon dies, a new page is written in this book.

     I've done my best, but I can't seem to find any trace of Spyro.

     [The Chronicler disappears into light, making Ignitus the new
     Chronicler]

I - Well, young dragon, where might you be? [Looking through the book]

     [Camera zooms into Ignitus's blue crystal necklace, then viewing a
     beautiful, mountainous pasture. It shows Spyro and Cynder flying
     around together in peace and harmony...]

Here are some points in the ending that I have noticed. v

-Ignitus died and is now Chronicler.
-Spyro and Cynder are not dead, but are spirits [or ghosts, whichever].

Well Spirits and Ghosts are generally the same thing...even though I consider the spirit in essence to be very different from a ghost. A ghost is the manifestation of one's spirit in a concentrated surge of emotion or reason...but I don't really think that they are spirits at the end....I think they are still alive and living among the living...but I guess we will not know until the next game.

True. Very true.

And that's where I got the idea from...

Well I can see what you are saying...and that is certainly a possiblity...we do not fully know just what the developers have done with the characters...and they leave that up for the viewer for now.

That was what Ignitus said to Spyro...and that's what Spyro planned to do, but Cynder stayed with him...and I believe that this in turn created some kind of secondary power through their love...thus allowing them to survive...that and their pages were not added to the book...so their spirits have not left the world.

i have a question.

now that spyro and cynder are in love with each other does that mean the books will merge or talk about the loved ones.

example take a look in cynders book

you might read about spyro and that he's her shining star

Well I still believe that each has their own seperate book..but you do present a rather interesting theory. If two dragons fall in love and eventually tie the knot...do their books somehow merge into one and become combined just as their lives have been?

It is a pretty interesting concept....but for now I have to say that their books remain seperated.

We don't know if they are alive or dead. The Chronicler couldn't find them in his book, and at the end, We can't see whether they are Spirits flying ariund or actually flying around. It doesn't really tell us much...
Either their gonna stop the series here and let you decide or we'll get to see in the next game.

To address the situation, of whether they're spirits or not, they could not be.

Ignitus died and became a spirit, therefore his name was added to the book. Spyro and Cynder's names weren't in the book, therefore they could not have died, and could not have become spirits. Therefore they are still alive, in a corporeal body, one of flesh.

By the way, the movie is still coming out... so we have that to look forward
to. I can't wait to see what will happen...

Yeah and hopefully they don't butcher that...because if they do it's not gonna be pretty. Anyways we don't really know what has become of them as Ratchet said before....for now it's up to the gamer to decide the outcome...and we will see what happens should they create any future games.

Well, I got the DS version of the dotd game, and she does announce her love to spyro. She practically screamed it on my game. And then spyro gave her a look that was a mix of suprise and confusion.....wierd. But I beat the game in the end!!!!

Huh...well I never have played any of the handheld versions for the games....but Spyro didn't have time to give her any looks simply because he was in the middle of his fury attack...but the look he gave her before he started showed it all in his eyes per say...at least to me it did.

Well I'm sure that someone does have some kind of ingenious idea to ruin all of the happiness lol...I could certainly think of a couple good reasons...and if a 20 year old working guy can think of ideas better then developers can then I really have lost all faith in the gaming industry.

There's probably not going to be a new legend of Spyro game unless a new developer (producer) will create it because in the legend of Spyro dawn of the dragon booklet it said the legend concludes...

If they involve Malefor in anyway whatsoever in the future games I'm not going to be very happy....and I'm pretty sure that many many fans will not be pleased as well.

They have to come up with something new and fresh if they hope to advance things even further.

This is going & posting really fast if you haven't found out XD. And I'm not sure about Malefor being a villain cause well, HE'S A DRAGON!! Villains are normally in say Marvel storys.

Does the difference really matter lol...he is the bad guy or villain...whatever the heck you want to call him. The nemesis....the anti-hero....the opposition.....the enemy!....lol...either way they should not bring him back in any form except by mention....it wont work.

Nah bringing back Malefor would be kinda dumb IMO.
He had his chance at destroying the world. xD

It's like bringing back the Joker. That would make a lot of fans very upset...know what I mean?
