Who here believes that there is not going to be a continuation after dawn of the dragon...?
Personally I believe that if they weren't going to do a continuation of the games why make a movie? They are going to continue the series one way or the other. Look at Halo and other games like Mario that have been here since...forever? I texted KGB and asked if there were going to be a continuation and they said yes. Because they're making a movie and because the faerie works for them big_smile . If it sells, they'll make more.
And do you honestly think that they'll end the series with Cynder and Spyro falling in love and thats all? Nope I dont think so. Plus Spyro finally learned how to fly!
I say there will be more. Whether they have the money or not. They'll get money and make more.

Dawn of the Dragon was the last game in the trilogy. More games will be made, but they will not be TLoS anymore. From what I've heard, the next games are supposed to be like the old ones.

There's defiantly another game after DotD. I don't know if it's going to be anything like LOS or the originals. I'm fine with both but I gotten used to playing big Spyro with all new features and abilities. I kinda prefer a continuation of a game style like LOS, a more combative like style but still with the puzzles and neat things to solve of course.

Where did you hear that? Last I knew there was nothing stating what the next games would be like, assuming they would be made.

There will def be more games. TLoS was meant to be a reboot to the series,a fresh start. And they've def sold enuf to make more.

Are there not already like....ten other topics about this....anyways this is not the last game in this series. It may be the last under the LoS name...but Sierra has already stated that if DotD performed well enough that they would wish to continue with the same characters and the same story that they have already introduced.

What are you talking about? Sierra already confirmed that there will more Spyro games set after DotD with the same characters. The ending of DotD is obviously open for a sequel after it.

Will this be the last Spyro game or are there plans to make more after this finale?

Without a doubt, there will be more Spyro games in the future. The entire purpose of the trilogy was to re-establish the characters and the world in a way that would allow for growth and expansion. We’ve only scratched the surface.

Most should have known this by now....but yes that's what they clearly stated on the Sierra Forum. It all depends on just what Sierra has in mind for the next game.....but seeing as how they still own the character rights why would they want to change what they have already set in motion...I just don't see them doing that.

YEs, There are more games confimed, but they are probably going to be LOS. theres alot more evidence that they will be TLOS than old style games.

<_< You better not be lying, in fact where did you here this from, WIKI? Dude, they seriously better go back to the original formula, that's what made Spyro great, the fact that it was ORIGINAL... *shivers* I can't imagine them making another game w/o the original formula implemented in it.

Aicebo's wrong about new Spyro games being like the old ones. In truth, they will be set after the LoS trilogy.

Thanks for the link, Aura. It'll be interesting to see the continuation of Spyro's story, I think. Although I'd have no idea what the antagonist or plot of the next game/s will be. Also... (Dawn of the Dragon spoiler)

How well has Dawn of the Dragon been doing in sales? If it's been selling pretty well, then I guess there's a good chance that Sierra will keep their word on making more games.

Well if it's a rumor going around the forums then I would be very quick to disprove it....since most of this forum is much more bent towards the originals then the start of such a rumor would be very believable. Anyways as far as I know they want to continue with what they have....and unless someone other then Sierra owns the rights to Spyro then that's what we will get.

That or if Sierra is willing to sell it to some other Game Co. But I can't imagine any one else making it though, or having the privilege or pride of owning Spyro... oh well, I guess we can do is pray.

Well I will take it either way...I have enjoyed LoS for what it is...as I loved the older games for what they were. At least someone has took the character under their wing as opposed to leaving it out in limbo. Anyways we will see what happens in the next coming months...but for now I don't see Sierra doing anything differently.

They're probably focusing on the Spyro movie, helping out. Maybe near the end of 2009 or next year, a new Spyro game will come out.

Well yeah I wouldn't expect anything until well after this movie comes out...and even depending just on what they do with the movie or movie(s)...who really knows. Hopefully we can see another game sometime in 2010.
