Well right now, I would say both judging by the movie poster.
If the movie is how good I hope it will be, then definably the movie.

The games are and always will in my mind. Hopefully the movie does them justice...but I have my doubts until I see it for myself.

Well I could prolly do without it lol...but yeah I guess it's somewhat of a good thing....at least I can see some building on the characters that they have already introduced and such....helps for fanfictions.

It can be a double edged sword...it could really help the franchise...or it could bring it down more. Hopefully not the second one.

It depends entirely on whether they'll botch it; like Eragon.

The books were epic on a stick, and for some reason Paolini let all of the rights of it go to the creators or whatever, and I doubt he looked in on it once. They got away with a lotta crap, someone shoulda been there to restrain them, or blow their heads off. Either way. People who couldn't be bothered to read (or didn't like the look of) the books loved the movies, yet almost anyone who read the books first realised what a farce it was, the two circles overlap in a razor-thin line.

Holy "beep" you actually posted on the forum lol tongue .....yeah I agree. That movie was a complete disaster...I wanted to hang myself after I got out of the theater....

The Eragon movie was a complete waste of an hour and half of my life...seriously one of the worst adaptions I have ever seen...and it wasn't just the story...the actors and costumes were just as horrid....except Jeremy Irons lol...I like him......hopefully Spyro wont turn out that bad.

Somehow I doubt the rabid fans would allow them to get away with that... that goes a tad too far methinks.

Hell, if they did that, I'd be in the mod of fans that would lynch them, despite my pure hatred for fanboys and fangirls.

if spyro turned out to be the orange dragon I would go and kill the person who came up with the idea XD

as for Eragon, that was a horrible movie. I haven't seen it, but still XD I read the book and after what my friend told me,I concluded that they had gotten alot of it wrong and that it would be a waste of time and money to go see it.

With Spyro though, I wont mind if they change the storyline a little bit. The movie would go on forever if they went exactly with the storyline of the game. As long as its not too boring, that is XD. Im still going to see it though, It would be cool to see Spyro in something other than concept art and video game graphics XD (even though the DotD graphics were pretty kick *bleep*!)
