Re: Spyro flying more
Having Spyro fly whenever he wants and whereever he wants would be a super idea just like in Drakengard 1 and 2, and the DragonBall Z budokai tenkaichi series games. The possibilities would be endless: dragging and dropping enemies or dropping things (most likely rocks or other enemies) on top of enemies. An aerial boss would be a first and an excellent one at that because this could open up new melee attack patterns: head-butts and breath blasts in any and all directions, claw slashing, wing-bashing, punching, kicking, and tail-whipping in many different combo strikes instead of using the same old melee attack over and over like in Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning where its just a head-butt followed by three tail strikes. This would outrank all the previous games combined.

Re: Spyro flying more
I've seen a really cool glitch for Spyro the Dragon where you could fly where ever you wanted, like if you were in a speedway. It was really cool! I don't think they should put that as a permanent ability in the future Spyro's, but if you complete the game fully, it would be great to have as an unlockable and you can use it when ever you want in your next new game.
Now THAT would be freakin awesome!

Re: Spyro flying more
That flying glitch is really a gameshark cheat. But then again, if you use a portable memory unit, that can happen. Like you beat the game with Cynder and play the next game. You continue to be Cynder right when you put in the disc. You wouldn't have to select another character manually. In fact, you view it from their point of view in the story.
Back on topic: Yeah, I wish so. But they can't stuff it in into 1 game. Gets kinda confusing doing one thing than on to the next. You could have a spread out level with alot of islands.
I don't care how it looks but how it functions
