Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

What do you think? I beginning to think yes, although I don't want it to be.

Look at it! I've never heard of The Reef and Saint Anthony, but almost all the other films are comedies!
Spyro is a serious character. Sure, Sparx is a bit of a joker, but the I don't think they'll just go for the occasional joke. I think that they're going to make Spyro a comedy.
I'll be mega-mad if they make Spyro a comedy and ruin his name. I like comedies, but Spyro's movie shouldn't be one.

What do you guys think?

I really don't think they should do a Spyro comedy, It'll make many fans upset. >_<

Huh? What would they joke about anyway? Cynder being black, black-purple or just purple?

Re: Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

Sorry but I can't see that. I can certainly see them throwing in the comedic elements now and then using Sparx and whatnot...but the movie should follow the pretty serious tone that the games set.

Re: Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

Persoanlly, I would be glad that they actually have people who have made movies before doing this. I'd be more worried about the quality of such movies instead.

AKA as you suggested: The Reef.
http://www.realmovienews.com/movies/8603

A knock off of, what I would imagine, Shark Tale, which was Dreamworks answer to Pixar's Finding Nemo. Done by a little company, this film bombed huge and was pretty much forgottoen.

ugh, the Garfield hack fest and hack fest 2... Why do they keep making more?

But who knows. Maybe this could be their big breakthrough movie where they actaully do a movie proper! Right now the only person in that crew I would even want remotley near the script is John Davis. There I said it  :-P

Just my grown-up opinion.

Re: Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

I have no idea what they could joke about, but, if they're determined enough, they will find something. >.<
I'll admit, it'll be a bit of a struggle, but looking at that list just makes me uneasy to think about what they could turn Spyro into.

I hope you're right. If they make Spyro something "funny" which it isn't, then I'll let them know about it..

Re: Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

I think it's safe to say they won't make it heavy in comedy. Surly it will have the occasional glance now and then but that's just a compete departure from what the games are.

Yeah... that would just plain be weird and make Spyro double faced

Re: Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

I hate to say it, but can they please leave Spaz, er, I mean Sparx out of the movie? Outside of being a living flashlight, and the odd quip here and there, was he ever useful as a plot character?

Re: Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

without sparx, we would all complain he was'nt there, Ironic actually, they should work on making him a more important charachter, like give him a usefull goal in games, like: magic or somthing.

(okay, maybe not magic, but SOMTHING, at LEAST give him more punch lines)

I will use it in my power to use it

Re: Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

Sparx punchlines are really one of the few things I look forward in TLOS. lol.

At least they won't make it a parody. Now that would royally suck.

Sparx does need to be in the movie but they need to choose a decent voice.

Re: Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

I hope it won't be a comedy. It wouldn't fit in with Spyro...yeah it's ok if they make sparx say some jokes... but to have the whole movie a comedy that would be very upseting and make all the fans upset...It would surley make me upset! sad

Re: Spyro: The return of the goofball (About the crew making the film)

I would have to say... well, I don't think it should be a comedy. it would be good to have a little comedy but not so much as to make it completly off the point of Spyro's real role in the film, the hero... or whatever it is.
