Re: Chains of Chaos

Reevan faintly listened to the sound of occasional combat and some sort of pouring sound that had more or less stopped recently.

"A fight?  Here?  Probably not too much of a stretch with that idiot prancing around...  Well, maybe they'll have something," he muttered to himself.

It was going to be a tight squeeze for food this time around if he didn't get any more.  No one seemed to care much for art these days... Well, people liked it, sure, but they weren't going to give away anything practical for it.  Usually.

If only there were rich traders around, he could probably get something off of these statues... For now, he had a pittance of some iron ore, and broken iron shards, assumably from some weapon.  Not very valuable; with even his primitive training in the craft, he could see it was all poor quality stuff.

Re: Chains of Chaos

"The ground's a bit too hard, it will rip my forepaws apart.... But desperate times call for desperate measures...." She sniffed the ground nearby and found a spot she was happy with, she gritted her teeth and started digging, just before she got deep enough to tunnel towards the exit she popped her head up, which was covered in dust, and a bit of blood. "Arus, you'll have to keep the water out of this tunnel until I break through. As soon as I do you'll feel a tremor, jump down the tunnel and run hell for leather. Don't worry if the water catches you up though, the pressure will just force you out of the tunnel like sitting on a geyser." With that she put her head down again and after a few seconds the two dragons would be able to feel her digging underneath them.

Re: Chains of Chaos

"No, this is no ordinary battle..." Lance watched the dome of water, closely inspecting the two blurry shapes inside, one having dissapeared only moments ago. He walked closer, until his the tip of his nose was alost touching the dome. He reached forwards with a paw, pushing at the outside of the dome. He felt the resistance that was made up by the black energy. Lance examined the dome once again, searcing for clues as to what was holding it up other than the Black magic.

Re: Chains of Chaos

Arus felt other presences nearby, listening to Petalance at the same time. "Sounds good to me just hurry....I really can't keep this up forever!" shouted the black dragon as he fell to one knee.

((OOPS! Sorry! next time i'll try to pay more attention to what is being said... Anyway, yeah, that would be good.))
A muffled shout, followed by scrathcing sounds from below. Lance inspected the caved-in section of the wall.

Re: Chains of Chaos

Petalance was glad she had good night vision, but there was now absolutely no light for her to see by, she hoped that this wouldn't disorientate the others when they had to come along.... But, as for herself, she knew she was making the tunnel wide enough and deep enough due to her earth sense.
In her haste, she concentrated on nothing but the earth around her. She knew her front paws were being ripped apart on the hard rock, but she would worry about that later. She suddenly felt a change in the composition of rock around her; she was digging through soil. After a second or two she emerged, right under the feet of some other dragon, Petalance realised too late to stop herself from head-butting the dragon in the stomach and sending him flying as the dirt around him erupted from the ground when she broke the surface.
Stunned that she hadn't noticed him she attempted to walk over to him, only for her forepaws to collapse underneath her. She took a closer look at them. They were hot and throbbing due to the friction of the digging; almost every single talon was split and bleeding and the middle one on her left forepaw was gone altogether. The pads on the underside of her feet were, and there wasn't much other word for it, shredded and covered in blood. The pain wasn't as bad as she expected when she was looking at it, she was glad that the rain was keeping the wounds clean and washing away the blood. Petalance realised with a jolt that she had nearly forgot that the others were still in the flooding cave. She lifted her tail up and brought it down on the ground, sending a tremor through it which they would be able to feel. She pulled herself away from the hole and hoped that loose rocks in the tunnel wouldn't pelt the other two when the water caught up with them.

Re: Chains of Chaos

"GAH!" Lance cried as he was pushed from underneath, and sent flying. Spreading his wings, he slowed his fall, and landed on the ground with a small thump, before looking over to where the new dragon now lay. He was suprised to see that the dragon was not the one that the Lizard spoke of. "so there are more..." Lance whispered under his breath, before running over to the new creature, watching as blood flowed forth from it's claws, which were badly damaged. "Now where did you come from?" Lance asked, His read eyes glowing as he examined the Dragon's wounds. He bent down to look straight into her eyes.

Re: Chains of Chaos

Petalance blinked, surprised that he had come so close. She wasn't sure whether his eyes unnerved her or not, but she answered anyway, the whole truth was probably better right now.

"I came to this ruined place to shelter, I randomly met two other dragons and then we were attacked by this crazed wolf-like thing which obviously knew one of them.... It trapped us in the cave and there was water coming in so I dug us out.... They should be following by now, though I wouldn't go near the tunnel, water will follow the two other dragons out, if not come at the same time as them...." She thought for a moment, not sure whether he was hostile or not. "My name's Petalance...."

Re: Chains of Chaos

Arus grunted slightly as his shield began to collapse. "Well you might be able to survive in water bud but I'm still not leaving you here."

Using all this mental strength, Arus slowly moved towards Zyrnoth while keeping his shield steady. When close enough, he quickly scooped up the smaller dragon and threw him over his should; moments before the black barrier finally collapsed.

What happened in several seconds felt like minutes to Arus as he dove into the hole created by the earth dragon. She had done her work well that much was certain, and Arus couldn't help but notice the small traces of dragon scales left behind by her indeed rigorous work.

After several moments he burst through the end of the hole; barely in time to avoid the huge rush of water that followed behind him. When he was sure the geyser had ended, he placed the younger dragon back on the ground.

The day was indeed full of surprises; for now standing before him was yet ANOTHER dragon; along with Petalance who was cradling her torn up claws. Arus flexed his wings; a slight crack issuing forth as he moved towards the female.

"Who are you?" spoke Arus, clearly directed towards the new dragon before him. Always was a habit of his to make an intimidating first impression on males for some reason.

Re: Chains of Chaos

Two more dragons, A small one with a machina on it's chest, and a Pitch Black dragon, suposedly the one that the Lizard spoke of. "My name is Lance, to answer both of you." He looked back down at the dragon "We need to get you under-cover, before you die of blood loss."

Re: Chains of Chaos

"I can take care of that." spoke Arus as he moved closer to Petalance. Very gently, he placed his right paw upon her forehead, his other place directly over her injured claws. Focusing everything he had left inside him, the black dragon tapped into the deepest depths of the dragoness's body.

Then using an immense mental push, he issued forth a slight glow from his left palm. The amount of power that went into such a procedure was brutal, and he could only do it rarely. Thankfully, he hadn't needed the power for years.

After several mentally challenging moments, the process was complete and Arus removed his paws from the female dragon's limbs. He felt very lightheaded...but such was the consequences of calling upon all his strength.

Re: Chains of Chaos

"Oh fun...more dracidons." Zyrnoth muttered, going over to the corner, feeling sleepy out of nowhere. Krucifi was here now...that meant that no one was safe. He would attack and hunt down anything that crossed him...and since he was his prime target, it would only make sense that Krucifi would kill the others to get to him. Except...he knew that he could survive the water...why do that then?

Arus was weakened, but not oblivious. Thoughts poured into his mind. "Who's Krucifi Zyrnoth? I believe we all deserve some insight at the moment."

Re: Chains of Chaos

"I am intrigued as to what powers you have too..." Lance stated, inspecting the two dragons "And why would it be that you have a Machina on your chest?" addressing the blue dragon, supposedly of the element of water. He sighed, closing his eyes for a second, before opening them again and walking closer.

Re: Chains of Chaos

The noises seemed to have stopped.

Reevan crawled into the building where the fight had gone on.  Had everyone died?

That would call into question his safety here... But then, maybe one of them had something worth getting on them.

Maybe he could skin one without so much guilt... He did need food, after all, he tried to rationalize to his sickened mind.

(Wait, in this RP, is Krucifi only killing dragons, or is he in the 'destroy everyone nearby' setting?)

Re: Chains of Chaos

(He's *bleep*ed off. Take that any way you like)

"I basically have no answers to your questions." Zyrnoth shrugged, "All I know is that Krucifi is some insane wolf that keeps hunting me, whereas the machinerary on my chest is something I am trying to figure out." he responded, yawning. He was speaking the truth...

Re: Chains of Chaos

Reevan got to the area.  Ruined.
Water was dripping from the ceiling, there was a massive, blood, scale-lined hole in the ground... It appeared to lead on, but this Liitalo, for one, didn't want to go in it.  There didn't appear to be anything else, and this place was giving him the creeps, so he turned to leave.

Re: Chains of Chaos

Petalance had barely noticed Arus put his forepaw on her head and heal her until he had already finished, afterwards she had sat there gob-smacked, even Healers couldn't do what he had just done.... Could they? She heard Zyrnoth's answer and flexed her paws before standing up. She inspected the machinery without getting any closer, but decided not to comment so as not ot offend him.

"So what are we going to do now? Go our seperate ways? I dunno.... That sounds like the best idea but with that wolf around it might be in our better interests to stay together until we get out of this place.... And bloody far away from it too...."

Re: Chains of Chaos

Arus cracked his neck slighly before pushing himself onto his paws. "I can't do much for right now...my energy is almost drained...I need at least a couple minutes before we do anything.....but I do agree, with that creature running around I don't think it's safe for any of us to be alone."

He turned towards Zyrnoth and then back towards the one called Lance. "I suppose that we should learn a little bit about each other first....because we're going to have to work together to get out of here alive I believe."

Re: Chains of Chaos

Petalance waited to see if someone else would go first, then decided that she would.

"Not much behind my life-story really.... I've just left my home and have been travelling for at least three months, I was hoping to see things that I never would have back home.... Boy, was I right about that...." She trailed off and looked back at the ruined cave.

Arus tore a piece of jagged rock from his arm. "Yeah I guess I can say the same...more getting out to find out just what my place might be in what's left of this world. No parents...no real memories. Just me and my curiosity. I never thought I would meet more dragons though...I guess we should consider ourselves lucky in that regard."
