I know this topic is about cynder the other purple dragon but yeah Spyro definitely looks more pink than purple to me. Especially in dawn of the dragon.

Are you saying she's black to your eyes? Because i see obvious discoloration. I think it's been agreed upon that she's SUPPOSED to be black.

*sighs* It is a FACT that Cynder is black. Shouldn't there be a poll about this? The poll would make a LOT more sense.

No a poll really wouldn't' make any sense lol...the point is...yes she is SUPPOSE to appear black, but through the EL mode development process the coloration does not appear black. They even said this.

She is most definitely supposed to be a black dragon. That is clear. However, she is clearly dark purple in DotD. I'm sure the switch in developers/rendering of her made her look purple. When light hits her, though, you can certainly see the purple. But, in dark shades, she looks black, or as close to black as possible.

Again the developers even admitted that's why she looked somewhat purple, but yes she is suppose to appear black just as she had before.

Now I wonder if this change of color was accidental or intentional. Concept art of Cynder shows her as purple, which I don't think was screwed up by computer rendering. Perhaps the developers were too lazy to fix her color in game so they just went with it in all other art. Seeing as they were lazy in other areas, I wouldn't put it past them.

And they probably made her purply so she would render better into the dark backgrounds of some of the levels in DOTD! She would be invisible in some of the darker areas.

Either that or they just wanted to make it totally obvious that she was a female(probably more likely) (pink/purple lolol)

Cynder is black and red in ANB. Cynder is dark indigo and pink in DOTD. I think, rather than laziness on the designers' part, this is a way to make her look less evil now that she is starting to grow up. If she was still black and red, she would just look like her evil adult self once she hit her teens. Technically I think she's still black, just a luster added that makes her look more good and less evil. Just one girl's opinion.
