Spyro: Fury of the Gods

This one I thought of whilst playing God of War. All the characters from the original series appear here such as Spyro, Cynder, Ignitus, Sparx, etc as well as Flame and Ember and a very special guest, Kratos(God of War). This is about Kratos' quest for vengeance against an undead Aries. Enjoy.

Part 1

Kratos stood with the Blades of Athena in both hands, the remains of a Cyclops lies in front of him. Spyro, Cynder and Sparx stood together. They shuffled and moved away when Kratos moved closer.

5 hours earlier.

Spyro, Sparx and Cynder were sitting around on a bunch of rocks when they saw a bright light.

"Is the sun rising?" asked a very drowsy Sparx,

"Sparx, it's still afternoon." said Cynder,

"I think it's a comet." said Spyro,

There was a huge explosion where it landed and standing in the crater was a large, bald man with red tattoos and strange looking blades. He climbed out of the crater and began he search for Aries. The trio managed to find the crater, it was empty.

"I wonder what it was."

"It wasn't a comet after all."

"Whatever it was, it woke me up."

They noticed weird looking footprints, they looked like sandals.

"Footprints, let's follow 'em."

They walked for hours to no avail.

"I can't go any furthur." muttered Sparx

"Let's take a break." said Spyro

Suddenly there was a loud grunt and the remains of a zombie like creature fell in front of them.

"There's something up on that mountain." said Cynder

"Let's go."

They ran up the mountain and saw the man. He was ripping those creatures apart. The trio was suddenly grabbed by a Cyclops. The man turned around and saw the three. The Cyclops laughed and said,

"You want the funny looking creatures Kratos?"

Kratos sheathed his blades and walked forward.

"Come and get them!"

They were tossed into the air. Kratos jumped and grabbed them and put them down on solid ground. He drew his blades again.

"Now I shall send you back to the depths of Hades!" shouted Kratos.

Cyclops laughed and ran towards Kratos. He jumped and kicked the Cyclops in the eye. The Cyclops grunted and covered his eye in pain. Kratos swung his blade around and lunged it at the Cyclops. It hooked onto his back and he swung underneath him and then the massacre started. The remains of the Cyclops lay in front of Kratos. Spyro, Cynder and Sparx looked at this man and moved away as he approached. He stopped just a few feet away.

"What are you doing here? Do you realise that you could've gotten yourselves killed?"

They said nothing. Kratos just sighed and walked away, returning to his hunt for Aries.

End of part 1

Part 2

"Who was that man?" asked Sparx

"The monster said his name was Kratos." replied Cynder

"Do you think we should follow him?" asked Spyro

"Are you crazy Spyro? After what he did to those monsters!"

"He saved us didn't he?"

"True."

"So lets find him."

They flew away searching for Kratos, who was half way through the forest. All he could think about was Aries. He hated him after he forced him to kill his family. The new God of War versus the former God of War. The battle would be epic, or dangerous.

"There he is!" shouted Cynder.

They landed in front of him.

"What are you doing here?"

"We've come to help you."

"I don't need anybody's help, stand aside!"

"But you saved us, we owe you our lives."

"No, you don't."

"Yes we do."

After much arguing Kratos eventually cracked.

"Fine, you my join me."

"Great but first, follow us."

He followed them to an open field. There was two of their friends, Flame and Ember. Kratos wasn't too sure about this.

"Hey guys. Who's he?" asked Flame

"He's big." said Ember.

Kratos was confused.

"What are we doing here?"

"You need to rest don't you?"

"Rest? Why?"

"You must be exhausted from the fight."

"I'm fine."

"Can't we wait until tomorrow?"

Kratos sighed.

"Fine, we leave tomorrow."

Later that night Kratos was sitting on a rock, looking at the moon.

"Can't sleep?" said a voice behind him. It was Ember

"No."

"Why are you here?"

"I'm looking for Aries."

"Who is he?"

"He is the former God of War."

"Former God of War? Who is the God of War now?"

He stood up.

"Me."

"You?"

He nodded.

"Wow. Amazing."

"Is there a problem?"

"No, just surprised."

He shrugged and contiuned to stare at the moon.
